Lee Majors: I Couldn't Watch the Farrah Special

Farrah Fawcett's first and only husband, Lee Majors, was not among the nearly nine million people who tuned in to see the TV special about her cancer battle.

Lee Majors -- play video

Yesterday at LAX, the former "Six Million Dollar Man" said the "whole thing was a little bit over done."

On a totally separate note ... Majors just celebrated his 70th birthday. We salute you, Col. Austin.

People who have cancer Are very intuned to themself and their disease as it takes every thing they have and then some to try and ward of this horrible sneeky disease that creeps up on people with out htem knowing until its to late as with some of the cancers such as pancreatic and liver and brain cancer . As for Mr majors some time prole think about what goes around comes around

47. He's such a gentleman, especially considering she left him for his best friend (Ryan O'Neal).

48. i wonder, if you could read his real thoughts, what they would say? does he still care for her? i think he does. and i also think he can say what he wants about it. ive always like him and farrah. not so sure about the little douche that stole lee's wife though.

49. "whole thing a bit overdone?" What an asshole! Maybe he would like to trade places with her... What would make him say an insensitive thing like that? Everytime I think I have heard it all, some jerk says something new!!!

So Farrah should just "go away"? Sounds like what you're saying is that people who have cancer are an embarrassment. Shame on you!
As Americans, we're ignorant about our bodies and how our bodies work. It's about time we start educating ourselves.
And do the world a favor...give yourself a good slap for insulting Farrah. She certainly doesn't come across as being the only one who's had cancer.

um.... excuse me but that is NOT what i said.. if you could actually read AND comprehend that would be great...
what i SAID was.. she is coming off as the only person in the world ever AFFECTED by cancer.. .jeeze.. at NO point did i say she should just "go away".. what the hell?... all i said was why couldn't she be more private about it. .she isn't the only person in the world with it.. ryan o'neal isn't the only person ever to watch someone die from it.... i nursed my husband thru 5 years of it.... alone.. while also raising our kids.. so yeah.. where do you come off saying that i think people with cancer are an embarrasment.. why don't you give YOURSELF a good slap upside the head and learn to COMPREHEND what you read instead of just mouthing the words as you go along.. idiot.

51. I see pain, not bitterness. I think he still loves her. He was the one hurt in the divorce.

53. 56. she SHOULD be embarassed she has cancer.

*****

How shallow can you be? You must be a miserable person that loves seeing someone else suffer. You better hope you don't get cancer and people think YOU should be embarrassed. I don't care who you are - you're an idiot,

55. I don't think he seems cold at all. When he said "the whole thing is overdone" it was in response to a direct question about the lawsuit Farrah is facing, NOT her special. I did watch it online. I kept thinking about how my big, brave, strong Daddy handled his terminal cancer - with his typical black Irish sense of humor. Special people succumb to this disease every day, they don't keep video diaries.

56. Regardless of how people feel about her, him, inspirations for the documentary (and I had not seen it, was only commenting on the TV obsession with public people's private illnesses) and whatnot, no one on here ought to be talking about her possibly impending death cavalierly like they are. The person who feels cheated that the TV show showed no bodily probing can take a long walk off a short pier (that is me trying to edit what I really want to tell that guy). One of my high school teachers died of rectal cancer. It was slow and ultimately very painful and she left behind 2 daughters who were under 12 years old.
Short of Charles Manson and his sort of ilk contracting it, cancer is no laughing matter.

57. I watched the special and thought it was mainly about Farrah, a lot of people do admire and like her. I think that Lee Majors has the right to say whatever he feels, he was betrayed by both Farrah and Ryan. I do wonder what O'Neal wants to gain by marrying her at this point (maybe her estate) although her son is really messed up and would probably blow the dough on drugs and possibly od. Her son apparently has a serious drug problem and some times the worst thing is for these folks to come into a lot of money. In a way I don't admire these people at all.

58. I don't blame Lee for not watching it.....what if he still cares about her and he didn't want to see her in so much pain? I don't think his not watching means he doesn't care; it could mean the opposite.
I think the whole production seemed self-indulgent and should have been private.

59. As usual I see some real tacky posts, just as tacky as what Lee said.I watched the special on Farrah and 9 other millions did also. She still has a lot of fans and admirers and the ones who whine about Farrah should be ashamed of themselves.
