66. Gays can have civil unions not marriage. You cannot marry a toaster oven or a football because that is not what a marriage is. Neither is a man marrying a man or a woman marrying a woman. Get over it already. The majority of Americans will never accept this. It is not a civil rights issue it is semantics. You are loud you are proud, but you will never be the majority. 69. Prop 8 in California was never about rights. Gays have and still do have all the same rights in a civil union. This is all about using the word "marriage". The problem with calling everything a "marriage" means churches and anyone else will then lose their free speech and religious rights if they believe it's Adam and Eve and not Adam and Steve.
