I am an older fan and only find him good looking IN the movies; kind of like Johnny Depp: pretty scruffy and average off screen and BEAUTIFUL on screen. LOL.
And I agree with the others who say if you read the book already this would not be a spoiler. I just don't remember in the book him being shirtless. I think that is for the fans' benefit...

75. Ummm...I don't remember him sparkling in the book. I do not believe he is supposed to take his shirt off either. Bella is supposed to be running towards him. He shirt is open (not off) and he is about to step into the light. Bella then slams into him.
Oh, and how is this a spoiler for those of us who READ the book. If we read the book we already know what is going to happen.
