What a Twit -- Al Roker Takes Pics of Jurors

Al Roker just pulled a big no-no -- according to a court official we spoke with in New York.

Al -- who is on jury duty -- took a pic in the jury assembly room in a NYC courtroom. The pic shows some of the prospective jurors -- Al posted it on his Twitter page. The official told us no one is allowed to take such pics -- but Al's rep just told us Mr. Roker got permission from a court official.

Al Roker

We just called the court official back and told them that Al got the OK. The official said if Al really did get permission to take the pic, the person who approved it "was ill-advised." The official said it's not OK, but if Al got bogus advice, it's not his fault.

Al Roker: Click to watchAl just posted the following comment on his Twitter page:

"I'm not breaking laws...just trying to share the experience of jury duty. One that I think is important and everyone should take part in ... So everyone is clear, I am NOT taking pictures in the courtroom. I am in the jury lounge. So folks need to lighten up."

32. AL ROKER TAKING PICTURES IN THE JURY ROOM? How does that make it "right?" His behavior was like a little boy who took a cookie from the cookie jar and then blamed his mother for having it on the counter ! Instead of hiding behind a court employee , who will probably get into trouble, clean your slate, Mr. Roker , and apologize to the employee for putting that person on the spot, or even worse, perhaps terminated for breaking the "rules" for you. Rules are Rules. Do the right thing., publicly!

33. This is the same arrogant person that shows up in Florida acting like he knows it all, when a hurricane is passing through. His ego is so much larger than his ability, and this sign of his judgement proves it once again!

35. It is always idiots who are in the wrong who say "Lighten up."

It's a non-expression when idiots have no valid point.

Also, he has no business taking pics. Is there no place anymore where people can focus on a job without being recorded.

36. I served on Jury Duty last March in NYC. The court officer made it VERY CLEAR no pictures are allowed taken anywhere in the court house and jury lounge. The court officer said he understood people wanted to take pictures but they could not do it.

Al is liar covering his rudeness at the expense of a court officer job.

No Al, perhaps YOU should GROW UP!! You are a 50-something professional, yet you cannot follow the rules of procedure for the few hours that you are required to do so. I am so sick of people who cannot carry out their given duties without twittering and texting every five minutes. GROW THE HELL UP and act like an adult!!
