Adam Lambert and Clay AikenHe may wear guy-liner, but Adam Lambert ain't no punk bitch -- dude finally fired back at Clay Aiken over that negative web-rant last week.

The new "A.I." runner up blasted the old "A.I." runner up in an interview with Access Hollywood yesterday, saying "I don't know Clay ... I'm glad he's getting headlines now though, because he wasn't before."

Lambert added, "If he wants to ride my coattails about it, good for him."

If you recall, Aiken started this cat fight last week, saying he thought his "ears would bleed" when he heard Lambert sing "Ring of Fire." Aiken then tee'd off on how much better "American Idol" used to be when he was on it back in the day.

Aiken later kinda, sorta apologized for his verbal assault ... don't expect the same from Adam.

47. Okay, now I have to add something. #31 & #32 did you actually say that? Are you dumb? Why should Adam apologize when Clay is the one who put him down in the first place? And his apology really didn't sound like an apology. I wouldn't stand by and let some has been talk crap about me either. That's not losing class or style. That's standing up to a bully. GO TEAM ADAM!!!!

I was really surprised at all the men who are homophbic, which usually means they have unresolved issues with their own sexuality. Everyone who criticizes Adam, usually throws the old gay bashing bla bla bla into the mix.

Adam is the most talented singer ever on American Idol. I am so thankful I got the opportunity to watch him this season, every week I looked forward to what song he would sing. Cannot say the same for any other Idol contestant ever.

You fools who say he is screaching abviously have never been involved in the music business. I guess you didn't see the week where Smokey Robinson gave Adam a standing ovation for his rendition of "Tears of a Clown". Also the standing ovation from Simon for "Mad World" and lets not forget Slash saying what a set of pipes Adam has and was totally impressed with "Whole Lotta Love". I could go on and on.

I think the opinions of people in the music industry are far more valid that you losers.

I am one Adam Lambert fan who will not forget how AT&T cheated for Kris to win. American Idol is fixed, Fox is counting on all of his fans forgetting and coming back next year. I won't. They rub in right in our faces saying so what we cheated and helped Kris, that's life. Well its amoral and Fox, AT&T and American Idol will never see one penny from me.

51. I find it amazing that Clay claimed to be teased and bullied in school, yet showed major hypocrisy by bad mouthing Adam and then a back handed apology? Yea right. I'm not a fan of Clay anymore and not a fan of Adam, yet I think he's ok. Clay did a great job of fooling his fans into thinking he was some sweet and innocent person when in reality, he's just an a**hole. It is ashame too, because he has a good voice. Can't believe I got emotionally involved w/ that guy. Never again. I also don't blame Adam for speaking up. If people think what Clay said was true, you got to give Adam props for nailing it as well.

53. I was impressed with Adam on American Idol. I'm not impressed with his ego right now. WTF is he talking about that Clay Aiken wants to ride his coattails? He LOST American Idol last week. He's getting a bit ahead of himself. Accept the apology and move on before you make a bigger ass of yourself Adam.

54. Adam will be super lucky if he ever achieves the success that Clay has. Clay has still been making headlines and getting gigs years after being on Idol. I agree with another poster here - let's see where Adam is 6 years from now. I doubt he'll make much of impact anywhere. His crazy fanbase has such high expectations that he'll never live up to them. They'll desert him faster then kids desert school on the last day before summer.

59. Clay Aiken is disgusting. It's good that Adam is also fighting back. It is not good to let people just trample you and then wont even feel sorry about it.

For me, adam lambert is a decent guy. people shld stop destroying him cuz he has a great talent and you cant deny it also.
