55. Too bad it took so long to convict him. I think jurors in CA are blinded by a celebrity's fame sometimes and they cannot see that they are simply human and do bad things. I truly don't think he will win on appeal. The other women who testified were testifying to his characteristic behaviors.....and they revealed the guy has a major problems with obsessiveness and is narcissistic--they helped to show that he has a pattern of abusive tendancies. Unfortunately Lana suffered for these women not coming forward and stopping him sooner. It just goes to show that if women are abused they need to speak out so no one else will suffer.

56. What is sad about this whole situation is that this man will be forever known as a murder. Doesn't matter what his past accomplishments were, they are all erased and replaced by the term "Murder" Phil Spector is a musical genius. Anyone growing up in the 60s and 70s will agree with this. I am not condoning murder or his actions. I am just saying that it is sad to see all his years of accomplishments erased in one fateful night.

57. How many trials did it take to get him called guilty. So why so harsh on this guy. He may be innocent. Look at all the convicts in Texas that were called guilty and they are now being proved innocent by DNA test. So don't be too quick to rush to judgement.

59. Finally, justice for Lana! For his defense team to have painted Lana as a suicidal loser, Spector deserves what he's getting. If he had just admitted accidentally shooting her, he probably wouldn't have faced such a long sentence. I felt so bad for her mother, having to sit and listen to that garbage after having lost her beautiful daughter in such a tragic way. It just didn't make any sense that she would go to a man's house that she didn't even know and then decide to end her life in his foyer with a gun in her mouth. Its sad that a man of this talent will end his days in jail. He was way too full of himself to think he could get away with it.
