Universal Studios Torah'd a New Hole

Oy Gevalt! A girl was supposed to become a woman, but thanks to a Universal Studios fire, her daddy has become a plaintiff instead.

Vered Nisim claims he spent over $150,000 for his daughter's Bat Mitzvah party at the Universal Studios Hollywood Theme Park back on June 1, 2008 -- the same day the MTV Music Awards were also being filmed at the venue.

Nisim claims in his lawsuit Universal circumcised his shindig by cutting off two of the three party areas because of the blaze at the studio. But Nisim has powerful evidence the Jews were treated unfairly, because Universal let the MTV Music Awards show go on without interruption.

Here's the saddest thing ... the suit claims, "The fairy tale fantasyland for Danielle which Plaintiffs had been planning for over eight months and had spent well over $150,000 was brutally truncated..."

The family is suing for unspecified damages. One thing is clear -- it's not a small claims court world after all.

31. Ummm, did you all miss the part about the date of June 1st? You know, the day the big fire burned through the backlot, taking out the Town Square set, the King Kong set and a few other properties? Also, the MTV show was filmed at the Gibson Theater, quite a bit away from the fire. Is Daddy gonna sue Yahweh for causing a fire on the morning of his daughters fest?

32. You just know MTV was planned after the girls and if it was planned before, Universal didn't mention it cause they wanted to make twice as much money. This has nothing to do with Jews or a spoiled kid......sure we would all llike to have that much money to shut down Six Flags or something but the point is Universal is slimey billion dollar company.

FIRST off Harvey isn't "doing this" to "his people". You, number 11. Talk about idiocy in the public eye. He's reporting a STORY not really caring WHAT the race is. THAT'S what a good reporter does (luv ya Harvey!)

Then for the moron above.....Well at least you have the good sense to live somewhere where you think everyone is "oppressing" you. TRUST me this jerkoff doesn't need to be "reinbursed" for something that was (yer gonna love this) AN ACT OF GOD. Did they ever prove "who" started the fire? Maybe your pal - the father - should go after that guy and get his precious money from him since it's obvious that he didn't give a rat's ass about his daughter's happiness ONLY that he "lost' $150k. You need to grow up as well as the others screaming "anti semitisim" and all that hooey. This is a free country anyway. Read the constitution. Don't like it? Go get bombed back int he old country and quit crying about how you're SO screwed over.

Oh and by the way...leave all the AMERICAN money the Jews have made in the American economy.
Have a nice trip home.

37. The world is falling around our ears and that jerk is wasting money on a trumped up event. May he lose his ass and may his daughter grow up smarter than her frivolous father.

38. I just don't understand why people get so up in arms when rich people spend lots of money on something. They're rich, OK? I don't have that kind of money (and neither do 99.999% of you), but who knows how we would spend it if we did. And if you are making hundreds of millions, better to spend some of it it so caterers, DJs, performers, etc. can work - or donate it to charity - vs. stuffing it in your mattress.

This doesn't have anything to do with being Jewish - it could have been a wedding, or a sweet 16, or a retirement party - who cares? If you rent a space, you should get what you pay for. If there is a problem with the facility, the facility owner should refund the person's money and eat the loss - not the person who rented it. That is ridiculous.

39. Apparently, the father spent the money and Universal has refused a refund. How would you like to spend money on a BMW and be delivered a Toyota instead. You, too, would want a refund

40. Are you kidding me> $150 grand on a birthday? Some people have way to much money and not enough brains

41. So they FAILED to mention to this family BEFOREHAND that they were booking their party the same night as the MTV music awards would be there??? I highly doubt that.

42. #13 Gloat much? You and your DH must have a wonderful marriage--not!. BTW, Jesus lived and died a Jew--which IMHO makes him more of a man than your DH.

43. If they didn't get what they paid for they should get their money back,
They got ripped off. All yall can be jealous because you can't throw those kind of parties... if it makes you feel better... heh.

44. They had a fire so something had to give so which do yo think is going to come first the girls party or the MTV music awards. Yes they should have given him some money back if they got only a third of what they paid for give them two thirds of their money back makes sence doesnt it.
