16. I drive sober and these skateboarders are a nuisance. The ones that skateboard in the parking lots and in the streets. I wish they would pass some laws prohibiting these skateboarders from skateboarding where there are cars and people, period. As far as Petty is concerned...now she'll get some much needed publicity. She will probably get a gig or two, also. Maybe on VH1's sober living or celeb rehab.

17. I just noticed the handicap parking sticker hanging from the rear view mirror. Hmm...I didn't see anyone with a handicap. Maybe someone should question the driver of the car.

19. I love Lori Petty. I hope she gets through this OK. If she happened to be drinking, this incident may have been a rare one. It may have only happened BECAUSE of the Skate boarder. That is why I NOW never drink and drive.

24. if you don't know the circumstances, you shoudln't judge. she is tiny and if it was alcohol, it may not have taken much.
those skateboarders often dart out and menace cars. thankfully no one was seriously hurt, no matter what took place.
i say wait til more info comes in before you all attack every aspect of her past and present life.

25. Not to try to discount what she did, because it was a horrible mistake, but what the hell is someone doing skateboarding down the road at 9 p.m.? Isn't it usually dark around that time? Even a sober person coulda hit some little punk on a skateboard in the dark, especially since he was probably wearing all black.

29. If you check out the Britney Spears post about a pap suing her for running over his foot you will see that all of the posters say, "He shouldn't have been there in the first place." Hence, by this logic, since Tank Girl is a celeb too (sort of): "He shouldn't have been skateboarding in front of her car in the first place." Why aren't you all posting that? Is it only Brit Brit who gets a free ride?
