Cheney -- Shock and In Awe ... of Susan Boyle
This morning in D.C., former Vice President Dick Cheney told us two surprising things: He supports Barack Obama's right to a date night on the taxpayers' dime ... and he's a Susan Boyle fan!

46. Why do the conservatives assume that the military personnel overseas are Republicans? Couldn't be further from the truth. My nephew(and Godson) in in the MN Natl Guard and was shipped to Camp Victory in Bahgdad in February. He was actually IN the palace in April when Obama made his surprise visit. He said that the people there were SO proud to serve President Obama, and MOST of them who had been there for awhile are EXTREMELY happy that they don't have to follow orders from Bush/Cheney anymore. Even General Petreus is in agreement with Obama to close Gitmo and end torture. And this is from a 20 year old kid who has NO political leanings either way. He just wants to serve his country.

You couldn't be more wrong. Most of the military is Republican. The dems that are there do desk duty. Most dems oppose the war. Do some research.

Do you think a terrorist would have any hesitation about waterboarding or torturing YOU? Do you think the people in the World Trade Cenetr or the Pentagon weren't tortured? Grow a brain.

56. Uhhh Proud Aunt, I have to disagree. I'd have served in Iraq twice and both times I was with men who were strongly against Obama, only like two of them voted for him. Mostly because he was against finishing the war that we have put so much work into. But now that he's president he has all the information that he didnt know about, and thats why the talks of the iraq pullout have gone waaaay down. And General Petreus does NOT feel comfortable with Obama yet. I'm not sure who told you that, but thats VERY wrong. The General is not a quitter and he understands the risks that face this country.

60. With all of the cheering I saw for Obama in Iraq, I would guess the military is proud to have him as their leader.
CamDunk - Gen Petreus came out IN PUBLIC and stated that he agrees with Obama that we should close Gitmo and stop AND denounce torture. Haven't you heard?? It was big news, maybe just not on FIXED NEWS.
I'm in on waterboarding Cheney, but only if we can get that all talk, no action chicken sh*t Sean Hannity as well. Good Lord, has anyone forgotten that Dick Cheney got not one, not two, but FIVE deferrments to get out of serving in Vietnam?? He expects others to die for his paranoia, but he won't fight himself. What a piece of sh*t.
