Sometimes there's so much beauty in the world, we feel like we can't take it -- and "American Beauty" star Wes Bentley couldn't take his wife anymore, so he felt like divorcing her.
According to divorce papers filed last month, Bentley is citing irreconcilable differences with wife of seven years, Jennifer Quanz. He also wants the court to deny Quanz any right to spousal support.
Bentley and his wife have been separated for nearly two years.

17. Why should a man (or woman) pay spousal support if you get divorced? This really gives women a bad rap when they try and get spousal support, especially when the marriage is so short lived. I say too bad for you if you are too sorry to take care of yourself!

18. I don't know what world that earlier poster lives in. He does NOT have to pay spousal support if she can make a living equal to his. It is not a given.

22. Umm, Janet? Just because a couple gets divorced DOES NOT mean that one side automatically has to pay the other side alimony, or "spousal support," as TMZ called it.
Maybe you should actually look into the law before you quote it like you're an expert. Just sayin'.

23. Celebrities have no clue what a REAL MARRIAGE is . They take the easy way out , "oh let's get a divorce .
why dont they just live together , since they don't take there marriage serious enough .
They're CLUELESS ........CELEBRITIES are wasteful people with everything in there lives .
Nor are they COMMITTMENT WITH A MARRIAGE . STAY SINGLE OR LIVE WITH THE PERSON .

25. He's got a lot of issues from what I hear. I mean, it's not surprising that he's getting a divorce and maybe she is down with the whole thing and doesn't want anything from him. 26. My friends and I totally saw him at Jazz Fest in New Orleans on May 2nd, jamming to Kings of Leon and snuggling up to a cute blonde!! He was sitting right behind us!

My Big Break didn't show nothing really about why Wes Bentley dropped off the face of the earth after American Beauty. Big deal- the fame pressure got to him. Yeah the movie showed it a little-but no real insight there into him. I seen it far worse than depicted there. And fame gets to many actors in the same boat and they figure it out. I say the drugs is what always been the problem with him and that's it man. No one got a hold of him or helped him-and that' s sad. Must gotten himself in to deep and been surrounded by the wrong people. And I heard there was another film called something else that was the real My Big Break that came out a long time ago and has been shelved because it depicts much more-and shows Wes Benley drugs and all.

28. i know someone who is friends with him. said he did have some problems but is doing great now. And i heard he is getting divorced from his wife but it has been coming for at least a few years now. I met him once. He was actually really friendly. Hope he is doing good.

30. I saw him in "the Four Feathers" and didn't realize he is an American actor - he did a real good job with the Brit accent. He's gorgeous!
Strangely, I can't remember him in American Beauty (unless he's the weird neighbor?)
