Heidi & Spencer -- Tortured?

Heidi Pratt was tortured by NBC to the point she was "convulsively throwing up" -- that's what some people on the set of "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!" are telling TMZ.

Heidi and Spencer

We've learned Heidi was rushed to the hospital and diagnosed with a gastric ulcer, after being held with hubby Spencer Pratt in a dark room for a day and a night with only water, rice and beans. It was designed as punishment because they left the show. One cast member described their treatment this way: "It's the same as Guantanamo Bay."

And get this ... a cast member tells us NBC execs tried to convince Heidi to stay on the set rather than take an ambulance to a hospital for treatment. She has now left the hospital and is on meds.

We're told some of the cast members want to quit, but their passports have been taken away and they are under guard.

Paul Telegdy,
NBC's Exec VP of Alternative Programming, told Ryan Seacrest about holding Heidi and Spencer in isolation as punishment, adding, "... They are now going to be examined, and their value system utterly deconstructed ... These people really are going to bare their souls."

We're told Spencer has fired his lawyer (who wanted him to stay on the show) and is now planning to sue NBC over the show.

Spencer and Heidi now want out ... for good ... but there's a problem -- they signed a contract with NBC to do the show.

NBC reps did not return our calls ... so far.

Stay tuned ...

34. These two are worse than morons. They are simply the biggest no-talent losers in Hollywood. He's a poser, a simple minded wimp and she's too stupid to be the cheapest whore on Santa Monica Blvd. Their 15 minutes of "fame" is long over with, begone Heidi and Spencer. You are both a waste of air.

35. I call B.S. This is all a scheme to get people to watch a show with the worst lineup of 'celebrities' since....I actually couldn't think of a show with a list of worse quasi-celebrities. What makes me mad is this is the type of exposure Speidi feed off of and are probably behind. I hope people realize that reality shows really aren't reality...but are scripted just like any other show.

37. Stephanie Pratt is on Twitter saying "Im really saddened to hear that nbc felt it was ok to punish speidi so harshly-and torture them as if they were criminals-that Heidi was Rushed to the hospital and has an IV in her arm after being locked in a dark room for 3 days w no food or water." HAha HAha WHY IS SHE LYING LIKE THIS? Do you really think Heidi and Spencer would go without food or water for an hour, never mind 3 days!??? LOL LMAO!! Heidi's probably sick from eating that delicious rats tale! yummmmmmm

38. Close only counts in horseshoes and handgrenades, NBC. You clearly dropped the ball on this one, as you could've finally rid us all of the publicity-starved Pratts! Next time don't monitor 'em...

41. This show is the most dangerous and reckless programming I have ever seen on TV (or even heard of.) It was only a matter of time before someone was seriously injured. Already, a bunch of rats chewed Lou Diamond Phillips' finger clear through to the bone as part of a challenge, requiring medical treatment. What's next?

Something is very wrong with this show.

44. NBC is desperate for ratings, it is a train wreck. Hell, they'd probably broadcast a live execution if they could sell ads around it. As for Speidy's performance on this stupid show, why don't they drop them out of an airplane as they are leaving? Now I'd watch those two go splat into a heap of red goo.

45. They should've both been held in captivity and tortured long before this considering and the pain and torture they've put us through with their immature antics and overwhelming stupidity.
