33. Mrs. Cannavaro,

You wrote "Liz and Barry have one child together, and child support and alimony should be paid accordingly". My question to you is why should alimony be paid accordingly?

I'll tell you why not. She had nothing to do with his ability to play baseball. His ability to play baseball is what enabled him to command such a high salary. Since he is 100% the reason he earns what he does, he should be 100% entitled to spend his earnings as he pleases. She is not an invalid, nor is she incapable of earning a living....she is most likely incapable of earning a living at the same level as he is, but blame god for not endowing her with the same gifts as her soon to be ex-husband. He should not be punished for her shortcomings, nor should she be rewarded. The marriage is done and with it should go the lifestyle that existed within that marriage.
