52. A long time ago a Asian woman explain to me that oriental was used to describe things like food, not people but it was a simple misunderstanding, she knew I did not mean anything by it and once she explained that, I was grateful and knew from then on to use the preferred nomenclature.
If truth be told I was the one who should have been offended because she told me she loved me a long time and evidently had told numerous other men the same thing.

54. I'm Taiwanese and find this lawsuit " PATHETIC". We are Asian or Oriental they mean the same. Please let Kim & Lee know that not ALL asian/oriental find it offensive. THEY DON'T SPEAK FOR THE REST OF US TAIWANESE, CANTONESE, KOREAN, JAPANESE..... or the rest of ASIAN!!!! I think they are trying to earn some $$$. 59. I'm pretty much sick to death of all the political correctness that is going on in the United States. In the words of Rodney King, "can't we all just get along?" Why on earth does someone have to sue because a stupid girl mimics an Asian ... we should sue monkeys for mimicing humans. Everything is about money and the easiest way to get it is to sue. Just use our tax dollars and judicial system to find out if your feelings were hurt while an American did something stupid. My take is: If your feelings get hurt when someone calls you by the wrong terminology, or looks at you crooked, please move out of the United States to a country you think might treat you better. There are lots of choices now days, with Afghanistan, Iraq, North Korea being at the top of your list to not give one piece of cr*p if you get your feelings hurt... they'll just shoot you where you stand and ask questions later. Please get a life and contribute to society... or get the hell out!

60. I thought the word "Gook" was suppose to be the offensive term for asians. Why not sue every other person that has a photo on myspace and facebook that's slanting their eyes to look asian? Or sue for all the asians in the world not just the one's in LA. Why should the one's in LA be offended and the ones in say, Florida or Japan not be?
