Playing Laura "Half-Pint" Ingalls on the '70s/'80s TV series "Little House on the Prairie" has left Melissa Gilbert frozen in time.

Here's the 14-year-old back in 1978 (left) -- and 31 years later, the 45-year-old version at an event in NYC last week (right).

There must be something in that Walnut Grove water!

32. Always liked her...but I saw her on TV the other night...watching her, I started thinking about how much she resembles Melissa Rivers....Joan Rivers' daughter...that--I don't like!

33. She admitted to having a nose and boob job in her book, so I think she would admit if she had anything else done as well. I think it is a combo of good genes and good docs. Although I do agree with the person above- she DOES look a bit like Melissa Rivers!!

34. The lighting and the angles do give her a smooooth look. I've seen other pictures and interviews recently and she has not aged well at all. She looks pretty "wrinkle hideous", especially around the eyes and facial folds. Botox is a must on her forehead and lifts her eyes slightly, but the bottom half of her face has definitely aged.

35. Never missed "Little House". BUT, in an interview she seemed to blame her alcoholism on the fact that Michael Landon always smelled like booze, and she "associated that smell with a good man". Not arguing that ML drank, just sickened that she uses that as an excuse. Lost any respect I may have had for her.
