Miley Cyrus -- Disney Changes Her Tune

Miley CyrusBilly Ray Cyrus is doing his best acting job yet -- by pretending that he and Miley are excited about a new season of "Hannah Montana."

Disney has just picked a fourth season of Miley's show, which, according to Billy Ray, was all Miley's choice. But we doubt that's the case. First of all, as EW points out, she was under contract -- you know, a legal document that forces you to do things, regardless of your opinion.

Secondly, as we told you last year, Billy Ray and Miley feel there is more money in her music career. So Billy Ray and Miley started showing up late to "Hannah" tapings, stalling production and fighting with co-stars -- all to try and force Disney's hand.

Looks like Miley's getting some tough love from her "parents," aka Disney's legal team.

31. 22. The downright nastiness and hatred from liberals against anyone who has money and made it on their own just drives them insane. Especially when it's a cute little Christian white girl who's doing it. Keep on hating kooks. Miley's great grandchildren are set for life while you're stuck trying to make ends meet, living paycheck to paycheck, by either your hourly paid job or off the government.-----------------------
idiot, i highly doubt "liberal" lawyer and tv host harvey levin is trying to make ends meet living "paycheck to paycheck." while he may not make the money HM does, (which Disney owns btw, NOT the cyrus clan) he will have the ability to make a very good living for a looong time, MC and her horse teeth on the other hand better ride her HM Disney gravy train as long as she can. She is set for life though, so she better not blow it.

32. I think we have all seen it many times when a show becomes a hit or some young person rockets to fame and then decides that the arena that created them is no longer needed. David Caruso for one and there are others who left because they felt they outgrew the show that made them famous only to almost lose their careers. Whatever Billy Ray did, it worked. He auditioned an Miley's dad for the show and woops now he in the spot light for a reason and it is because his daughter (because of Disney) has become a teen idol. Of course getting himself on the show was genius but I guesss my point is that all the stars the left a series to pursue other or higher levels in their careers end up very sorry and you don't have to be a rocket scientist to know that Miley is at the moment a product to an age group of around 12 to 15. When that age group gets older Miley and her dad will long for days of Hannah Montana..Miley is not something new, she is not an up and comer, she is a short term highly successful teen who got lucky with a show that she will grow out of in the next 3 years if she doesn't quit first. It is a great ride to the top but the trip down is sad and lonely..just ask the guys from Confession of a Teen Idol and most of those guys had some amazing talent. Sad to see them struggling because they believed their own press but in their case and with a show that reflected their abilities to come back, they may do well...they had and have talent..Miley...is short term and again, that is the reality of her and her life.

33. I have always been told by a very wise man to be grateful for what you have and never bite the hand that feeds you. Maybe the Cyrus' should meet my grandfather.

34. It doesn't really matter because looking at that photo, she'll be perfect at making money a different way.

35. Disney knew this was coming. They start out by making these girls cute. Then they make them cuter so young boys feel there first woody coming along. Then they tramp them up real good so grown men want to drag them out of home ec. Then finally, they lead them into Bimbo Land where T&A is tame. Disney is nothing but a "Slut Farm". Walt is rolling in his grave.

42. I have never heard the isuue addressed that Miley is a minor. No contract is binding on her, period. To my knowledge, there is no legal way around that. The contract could hold a different legal entity responsible, but that entity could pay out it's funds and declare bankruptcy. Are there any people out there with a legal backround who could explain how they could hold these young stars to a contract, because if the young stars wanted to burm their bridges, they could just walk away.

43. How can they hold a minor to a contract? There's no way.

44. Hey guys, TMZ and Entertainment Weekly are just messing with you. You can't hold a minor to a contract. You can't form a legal entity with the purpose or having the effect of circumventing this law. That's why the IRS busts peoples tax shelters. While oftentimes technically legal, they are formed with the intent to get around the tax laws. As a minor, Miley could always walk away if things got acrimonious and the relationship didn't seem worth saving.
The movie, The Last Song, is a Disney project. If she does a movie with Hugh Jackman, that will be a Disney progect. And it look like she's getting involved with a movie based on a popular children's book that could become a series of movies if the first one is successful. A Disney Project!!!
Don't let the rumor rags mess with you!
