Lohan Investigated in Jewel Theft Caper

Lindsay Lohan is wanted for questioning in connection with a jewel heist -- and an expensive one at that.

Scotland Yard is investigating the disappearance of around $500,000 worth of jewels -- earrings and a necklace -- that went missing after an Elle magazine shoot ... and guess who was front and center for the shoot? Our freckle-faced friend.

Scotland Yard wants to question LiLo ...but they're quick to add others are being investigated as well.

Lohan's rep released this statement: "No one has contacted us yet, but Lindsay is happy to cooperate. She wants them to find the missing items."

93. Isn't it interesting that wherever this woman goes, there's nearly always some sort of scandal. Sure, when you're in that kind of business there's bound to be opportunists just waiting to help themselves to clothes, jewelry, etc., not necessarily saying the person is Miss Lohan. Wouldn't it make sense that Elle, knowing full well how much these jewels were worth, would have a very secure location where this photo shoot is taking place? My gut tells me Lindsay is somehow very much involved. As many of the other posters mentioned, drugs and alcohol make people do unbelievable things.

96. This really goes to show “the power of small.” If LL hadn’t made so many poor career and personal decisions no one would suspect her of stealing these jewels. Would anyone think Julia Roberts stole a handful of diamonds if she was the last in a room to see them? I think not. LL needs to get a copy of Kaplan Thaler and Robin Koval book “The Power of Small” and turn around her career! She can do it!

97. Back in April of this year, she was all depressed and was whining about how SHE WAS COMPLETELY BROKE!!! Figure it the F' out! There's a damn good reason why crap always seems to go somewhere when she's around! She a thief loser scuzbag!
