71. I am Christian. I am white. Therefore, I support "opposite" marriage. Why? Because gay marriage is morally wrong and it offends me. I'm not homophobic. I'm entitled to my beliefs without being demonized by the hypocritical liberal media. My beliefs are just as valid. Here's why I'm anti-gay marriage: I can't sleep because gay people could possibly be considered married. I can't do my job. It affects my ability to make a living. It makes it so that I can't enjoy the things I like to do like fishing and running and watching movies. Gay people being married makes it so that I might lose my house to foreclosure. I worry that with gays married, I'll face bankruptcy if there ever comes a time when I can't afford to pay for healthcare for myself and my family. I worry that with gays married our country will be subject to more terrorist attacks, and our geopolitical powers will be severely degraded. Also, gays are known to destabilize the economy. They also, I've read hinder further scientific advances in key areas like the fight against cancer. FInally, it's because GOD said that gay marriage shouldn't be allowed. Along those same lines, I'm pretty sure that inter-racial marriage is wrong too. It causes the same problems. If anyone has a problem with anything I've said, you clearly are a crazy, extremist, liberal...the kind that just runs around trying to make the world all "equal" and "fair"...that's just anti-Christian.
