THE ISSUE ISNT SPANKING, ITS THE FACT THAT HER MOTHER WAS ON THE PHONE (HELLO DOESNT SHE HAVE 8 KIDS SHE SHOULD BE WATCHING & NOT GABBING ON PHONE) AND HER DAUGHTER WAS JUST WHISTLING. sHE WASNT BEING A BRAT SHE WAS ONLY WHISTLING!!! AND THIS MONSTER OF A MOTHER DIDNT JUST SWAT HER BUT SHE GRABBED HER EXTREMELY FORCEFULLY AND HIT HER VERY HARD SEVERAL TIMES. WHEN THE PICTURES COME OUT YOU WILL SEE THE MOTHERS FINGERS LITERALLY DIGGING INTO HER DAUGHTERS ARM WHILE SHE SPANKS HER (NOT LIGHTLY MIND YOU) REPEATEDLY.

THIS IS A WOMAN SO ON THE EDGE SHE IS LOSING IT AND TAKING IT OUT ON HER CHILD! tHE FACT THAT SHE WOULD JSUT EXCUSE IT AS PARENTING ENRAGES ME AS A MOTHER! SHE COULD HAVE ENDED HER PHOEN CONVERSATION, TAKEN THE TIME TO TELL HER DAUGHTER SHE COULDNT HEAR THE CONVERSATION DUE TO HER WHISTLING AND TAKEN THE TIME TO TALK TO HER ABOUT HER BEHAVIOR (WHICH WASNT EVEN BAD SHE IS A KID WHISTLING FOR CRYIN OUT LOUD)! I NEVER HAD ANYTHING AGAINST KATE GOSSELIN UNTIL I SAW THE PICTURES.

SHE CAN NOT HANDLE DISCIPLINING HER CHILDREN WITHOUT SNAPPING. WE HAVE ALL SNAPPED BUT NOT OVER SOMETHING AS SIMPLE AS WHISTLING AND TAKEN IT OUT ON A CHILD BUT REPEATEDLY HITTING THEM IN A VERY AGRESSIVE MANNER WHILE OUR CHILD IS LITERALLY SCREAMING IN PAIN. THIS IS CHILD ABUSE ANY WAY YOU SLICE IT. THIS CHILD AND ALL OF THEM FOR THAT MATTER ARE GOING TO GROW UP WITH MAJOR ISSUES BROUGHT ON BY THEIR MOTHERS NEED FOR FAME. THE GOSSELINS COULD BOW OUT OF THEIR CONTRACT YET THEY KEEP SIGNING ON FOR MORE AMD MORE SEASONS. IT HAS BECOME OBVIOUS THEY CARE WAY MORE ABOUT FAME THAN THEIR CHILDREN AND IT TURNS MY STOMACH. HOW CAN THIS STATION CONTINUE TO PAY THEM? tHEY COULD DO THE RIGHT THING FOR THE KIDS SAKE AND LET THEM BOW OUT OF THEIR CONTRACT. HOW CAN PEOPLE SIT BACK AND WATCH THESE CHILDREN BEING SUBJECTED TO SOMETHING THEY DID NOT SIGN ON FOR - THEIR PARENTS DID. MAKES ME SICK!!!!!!

55. Ok everyone is making a HUGE deal of this denying water thing, I saw the interview this happened on back in January and she even talked about it then!!!! Why isn't anyone showing THAT part of the clip on youtube? Kate explained that the kids had been up so early for the interview and were being unruley and she hated that she herself had a scratchy throat and needed to drink but couldn't give drinks to the kids prior to the interview, can you imagine 6 kids needing to pee at interview time!?!?! And as for the kid who threw the fit!!! IT was Maddie the mini Kate who litterally throws a fit over everything!!! And on that interview day Jon was NOT with them and she mentioned no helper was with them either, so I don't blame her on having them wait until after they were done with the interview!

As for her spanking her daughter..why isn't anyone showing what ET showed on their show? Leah was hitting her sister then pulled the dogs tail, Every parent decideds how to decipline their child and just because she and her family are on hard times doesn't mean everything she does should be taken as gold via a still picture, open your eyes people or are you all so determined to tear this family down after we lifted them up?

I am sure she didn't want those pics out. If you notice she has on the same outfit and it owuld make sense.This woman has alot of resentments right now and she needs to buy a punching bag to get them out. Does she ever exercise and relieve her anger in that way? It is great idea for her. I don't think her bod in the bikini even though it looks great for someone who had 8 kids(plastic surgery included) is not a toned body and could use some workouts for body and mind. Maybe she shoudl give up her "celebrity" status and put her kids first.
