61. A parent that disciplines their children when they misbehave....someone call child services....how dare she spank her children....what is this 1950, no it's 2009. Don't you know that you are supposed to give your child a stern warning and then a time-out? Dear god help us if she sends them to their room where they get to play with all their toys.

As to why these people are so popular, because American keeps watching and the news keeps reporting......

62. TLC, fire Jon & Kate. The 8 little kids are not normal. Normal kids don't have cameras following them since they were babies and shown to the world. Normal kids don't have society calling their mother a whore and Jon screwing young women. Normal kids don't WORK to support THEIR PARENTS!

Normal kids don't ALWAYS have matching, color coordinated clothing. Normal kids aren't on Oprah, Morning TV news shows, etc. Normal kids are IN SCHOOL, not vacationing with their Mother and mother's lover! Normal kids don't have bodyguard while at Target etc


TLC is responsible for the Gossenlins destruction. When TLC is finished with the Gosselins, they will destroy another family. It's TLC's MONEY GAME.

63. Anybody can see the poor little kid is just trying to get attention. For Pete's sake, she was outside blowing on a whistle. Pulling her off to the side and speaking to her about her behavior would have gone a lot farther than beating her in front of the cameras. I think this lady is about to crack.

64. What a sad mess for the kids. Too much show, and not enough respect between the parents to even try to make it work. It's sad that they're too wrapped up in themselves to make things better for the kids. I can't help it, I can't stand Kate. She's way too controllng to satisfy me. I can understand why Jon would pull away from her, although he's far from perfect himself. I haven't watched the show this season at all, and have no intentions of doing so.

66. Gosselin 8 kids not normal. Normal kids don't have TV cameras following since they were babies. Normal kids don't have a TV crew. Normal kids are not color coordinated in matching clothes for the cameras. Normal kids don't have society reading about their Mother a whore and Jon screwing around.

Normal kids don't have bodyguards with them at Target etc. Normal kids don't have TV cameras with them at the dentist, in the bathroom, when they are sick on the floor in the laundry room etc. Normal kids don't have American Chopper family or Emeril at their home.

Normal kids don't live with their mother and her mother's lover while their father, still married to Kate, is no longer living at that home and all the while, the TLC's TV cameras are ROLLING!

Normal kids don't appear on Oprah, the Morning TV shows etc.

Normal kids don't WORK for TLC 's financial gain, as well as their parents only means of support. No 8 little kids, no show.
Kate "work" (book tour etc. or whatever she can gain from giving birth to all those kids) is ONLY there because the kids.

69. There is no reason to spank a child other then the adult acting out in frustration. Kate is not the mother she would like the public to think she is. Jon is so much better with those kids then she is.

71. Seriously... I've spanked my kids in public... Every situation is different. Who's to say that she didn't ask her to stop?? And I have no shame in spanking my kids in public and frankly don't care who sees. There is a BIG difference between spanking and beating them.

74. Maybe if more moms would give there kids a crack on the ass we wouldn't have so many BRATS in this world. Kate's kids are alway well behaved. Many people on the show have said so. With of course the excetion of Mattie. She really needs a good crack on the ass a few time over.
