LeBron James -- Most Valuable Loser

Overcompensation -- noun -- excessive reaction to a feeling of inferiority, guilt, or inadequacy leading to an exaggerated attempt to overcome the feeling ... especially when someone expected to win the NBA championship doesn't even make the finals.

LeBron James: Click to watch
LeBron James rocked this egotistical t-shirt during a shopping break in N.Y. yesterday.

For the record -- you won't see Kobe Bryant wearing a shirt with his individual accomplishments plastered on the front of it during his championship parade today -- he's gonna let the trophy do the talking.

16. I vist the Cleveland area and I can tell you they need their hero, I do wish that the Cav's could finally make it to the finals, maybe Lebron needs some help out there, but you cannot deny he is an awesome player. I'm sure he could go elsewhere, and he might, but I'd like to see the Cav's make some changes and get him to the finals.

17. So he takes a lot of pride in his work and wants to excel? Why is this so bad? He grew up a poor black kid and made things happen for himself...good for him.

18. # 5 You really need to stop. You probably never played a day of sports. Yes Lebron, was a little wrong for that. He is human and it was an reaction. There was NO rape on Kobes part, so people really need to leave that alone. Lebron, is a really good player who can only get better. People fail to realize is that he's still a very young guy. Kobe, has dealt with his mistake, and thats all it was. People lets move on and stop all the hating on these human beings.

20. Is it even possible for anyone besides Kanya West to maybe have a BIGGER EGO than Lebron James? I LOST ALL RESPECT for him when he walked off the court without shaking hands with the Magic players. It was a truly childish act and while he's a great bball player, he still has a lot to learn about humility and sportsmanship. Terrible role model...

23. well, lets see, It is the Los Angeles Lakers that is having the parade today and yes, Kobe will let his tropy do the talking. Lebons immaturity showed when he refused to talk to the press after the cavs loss. He still has alot of growing to do presonally and professionally before he can get to MJ's lvele( if he ever will) or Kobes.........nuf said

25. Do you guys even watch sports? I see a comment that " I wish the Cavs would finally make it to the finals." They already did in 2007 so that makes no sense. Also , Lebron isn't going to New York, so all these idiot fans that think he is, are going to be heartbroken in 2010. People act like his team is going nowhere. It's the funniest thing I've ever seen. He has one of the richest owner in sports. He just had the best record in basketball but ran into a bad matchup. He is a god in cleveland, something he won't be in New York. He can't get any bigger than he is now. He'll get endorsements no matter where he goes. New York smells like crap, and you get holes in your sandals by just walking down the street b/c of all the smut. Basically , New York is a pile of garbage. Cleveland or Chicago is where he'll be. SORRY.

PS: He would never be able to live with the fact he failed to deliver a championship that he promised to the city. He is too close to the barbershops, friends, family , high school in Akron and Cleveland. He couldn't be able to come back to this city without death threats and being booed , and THIS IS THE MAIN FACTOR in him deciding to stay. As sad as that sounds, it is the total truth. You see LeBron in games and commercials, but you don't the LeBron the family man. Trust me , he could care less about being in New York, because he knows he can keep everything close to him in Cleveland, be worshipped, and still make millions in contracts and endorsements. ohhh i forgot, the chinese investors who now own 15 percent stake of the Cavs have announced a campaign to brand the Cavs Logo with LBJ23 all over China. Yes, China and it's 1.2 Billion basketball fans. Good luck matching that New York........

26. #8

lebron does not have 4 kids out of wedlock, get your facts straight. he has 2 little boys w the girl he's been w since high school.

as #10 said, he is the league MVP, so not sure what the problem is. he carried his team all the way to the finals. lets not forget all the help kobe has on his team

27. Give LeBron a break. He is a good guy. He doesn't do drugs, or steroids, doesn't run people over with his cars, have dog fights, or disrespect his old friends and coaches in Akron. He only has TWO children, that he lives with. Attends his old high school games and events, still speaks respectfully about his old coaches. He is very involved with his highschool team mates. He is still very young and you would expect him to be a little arrogant. And young enough to be emotional about losing those games.

28. If you watched the NBA at all this year, or last, you would know Lebron is and has been the most versitiale, consistent and totally phonominal player that has ever held a basketball....we love you, Lebron...you are definietly the leagues MVP!!!! Witness!!!!

29. He is a loser. Literally.

30. This guy can't carry Kobe's jock. And all of you posters thinking that he's staying in Cleveland are hilarious. This guy's ego is way bigger than Ohio. He's going to New York. Deal with it.
