Carnie Wilson Gets Spotted

16. Carnie looks good. Most Roux-en-Y folks keep off 50-60% of their excess weight long term, which is what Carnie is doing. She is no where near the 300+ pounds she was pre-surgery. And for the blogger who commented on pregnancy post weight loss surgery, it's perfectly fine and safe as long as the person waits 18-24 months after surgery (or when weight loss stabilizes). Much healthier and safer pregnancy than pre-surgery.

Congrats to the Mama and her new baby.

17. Dang, this is just wrong. She shouldn't wear that crap anywhere but INSIDE her house. Don't even come out to pick up the newspaper with that on. I'm not a celebrity, but even I wouldn't go out in public looking like that. Where is her self respect? Gastric bypass is like anything else, doesn't work if you go back to eating the way you did. You have to keep eating those SMALL portions. Now she's got her insides chopped up for what? Who knows the long term effect of having most of you stomach cut out and then stretching that little pouch that was left?

23. The woman had a c-section just a few days ago. Give her a freaking break. It's not like she was out to lunch at the Ivy. She was going to the doctor, probably to get her staples out. I'm sure she's exhausted and feels like crap, and a caftan is pretty appropriate when you have an abdominal incision that will rub against anything form fitting.

24. To #23...Your theory could be correct unless you take a good look at the pic...Where is that ultra large bag she's carrying? Why, I do believe it is rubbing on her right where her incision is...OOOPSIE...You now need to make up a different excuse for her...

25. Yikes when I saw that horrible red hair and outfit I thought it was Slash's wife after her operation. It's Carnie though and she just had a baby on friday I think. I like Carnie and admire her for her ability to work and make her own successful life and her determination to try to overcome her obstacles as well as to carry on despite the mean snide opinions of some very unimportant people.. She has courage and is willing to put herself out there to fulfill her dreams.. She has a husband children and a career. That sounds successful to me.. I think she has worked since she was about 16 and is still being successful at her own career. She will still be back to work again I'm sure as soon as she recuperates. Congratulations to her and her husband on the new addition to their family.

28. That's a leopard spotted moo-moo. She stole it from my Nanna and she wants it back. Also where's China and that other chick from Wilson-Phillips? Maybe she ate them. I'm definately going to hell, plus I'm like the pot calling the kettle black, but even I know moo-moo's are a no-no. Perhaps she's got Lohan's "borrowed" jewelry hidden in there somewhere.

29. She had WLS in 1999, 10 years later she is healthy and has just had a baby in good heallth. She is 41 years old, still married to her first husband. A lot of you people with the negative comments should look at yourself before making a comment.

30. #24, apparently you've never had a cesarean section. The incision for a c/s in generally just above the pubic hair, hence the term "bikini cut". Her purse isn't anywhere near it.

Any abdominal incision hurts like a mofo every time you move. Getting dressed is painful, and trousers can be terribly uncomfortable to wear when the incision is fresh. Some women would still be in hospital at this point. Anyway, what kind of a person criticizes and demeans a new mother for her body or what she wears to the doctor three days after a c-section?
