'Cherry Pie' Singer Popped for DUI

Jani LaneWe've just learned the lead singer of 80's hair band Warrant was arrested for misdemeanor DUI traffic accident last night in Los Angeles.

Cops tell TMZ Jani Lane was involved in a small fender bender in the Woodland Hills area at around 9:30 PM. We're told Lane hit a parked car, no one was injured, but when cops arrived at the scene he showed signs of intoxication.

The 45-year-old singer was arrested and is currently being held on $30,000 bail.

21. $30,000 bail??? That's insane!! Rapist's get lower bail then that! Drunk driving sucks, but I think rape is just a wee bit more horrible. Must have had a hard ass judge.

25. Jani Lane is still by far the best singer out there. He made a mistake. Million of people do. People just need to leave him alone so he can get through this. I'm not saying what happened was right but it needs to be his buisness, not millions of others!

28. Tia Maria, I guess you didn't know that Jani Lane is just his stage name. His real name is John Kennedy Oswald, which a far too conservative name for hair metal. He is a drunk because he isn't able to cope with his two divorces and break-up with his girlfriend, Sheila Lussier, last December. Who knows? Maybe it is the other way around. Perhaps he is a drunk which is causing his trouble. One of those "which came first, the chicken or the egg" things. Anyway, I hope that this doesn't keep Warrant from performing next month at Rocklahoma. I'd rather have his drunk, lame voice on stage rather than nothing at all.

Heather: Do you have any idea how much it costs for a "stroke victim's health care, children's education, 2 ex-wives & their needs, etc. My God, the way you people tear a person apart is absolutely disgusting...he's my BROTHER not just someone you may have seen in passing or heard his song on the radio.
