In 1982, People magazine reported Abe had died.
Vigoda appeared on the last episode of "Late Night with Conan O'Brien."

7. Abe Vigoda is great. He had a long-running spot on Conan's NYC show, and was "released into the wild" when Conan moved west.

He had lines like "I shoulda died years ago" and "It makes me glad I'm not dead"!
