Tony Hawk Rolls Through the White House

Tony Hawk has some massive ball bearings -- dude was not only brave enough to mount his skateboard and shred the checkered tile of a White House hallway, he took photos of the daring act and then posted them on his Twitter page.

Take a good look, because these could be the last photos of Tony you'll ever see.

50. . Typical of the lack of dignity, decorum, and respect that Barry Sotereo aka Prez For Life Idi Amin Barak Hussein Obama Dada and his classless Chicago Wife trash brought to the White House. Just another one of Our Brotha Prez Buddies cutting it up at the People House.
How disreectiful and pitiful this Chicago CLown has made this most sacred institution and Nation in such a short time. Proof positive him and his "buddies" are trying to destro our Great Nation

Posted at 7:27PM on Jun 19th 2009 by Ron D13. Everyone that thinks that this is disrespectful should remember something: Abe Lincoln's children used to bring their animals into the White House & they included horses.
John Quincy Adams, the sixth president also had a pet gator. His was a gift from the Marquis de Lafayette; it lived in a bathroom in the East Room of the White House. According to some reports, he enjoyed using the gator to scare his guests.
Herbert Hoover's son, Allan Henry Hoover, owned a pair of gators that were occasionally allowed to wander around the White House grounds.

51. Disrespectful. Makes us look weak. Sacred. Blah blah blah. You people are so uptight. I like the "wouldn't have happened in Sarah Palin's White House." Well, luckily, thankfully, mercifully we'll never, EVER, know that. Relax dolts, it's not that serious. So Obama let Tony Hawk ride a skateboard in the White House. Yeah, that's so much worse than sending thousands of young soldiers to their deaths and costing the tax payers billions upon billions for a completely meaningless war. You dullards are the real reason that other countries think we're ripe for the picking.

55. He had permission, TMZ. Get all the facts before you joke he'll never be seen again. Also, as another reader pointed out, those are photos of the Executive Office Building.

Harvey was right when he spoke at Berkeley: he doesn't hire journalists.

56. I believe our new President would have probably tried the skateboard, if he would been there-no matter where it was-location wise!
He seems very easy going-and I don't think he would be offended!
Even though we, the American people -own the "house" he is the current (Tenant)!

58. Even if it is The White House, it is not as though the children of presidents have never played with toys there. They have probably ridden tricycles or Big Wheels there, so what is wrong with a skateboard?

Fri Jun 19, 7:26 pm ET
WASHINGTON – Hey kids, don't try this at home.

Professional skateboarder Tony Hawk on Friday took a brief ride at the White House as part of a Father's Day celebration.

Hawk, 41, skated in the grand foyer and the nearby Old Executive Office Building, with the permission of White House officials.

The skateboarding icon, also known for his popular brand of skateboarding video games, posted photos to his Web site and Twitter page.

One photo shows Hawk on his skateboard with his hands in the air in what appears to be a hallway.

"...and here is my exit," he wrote in a message on Twitter, which linked to a picture of him skating. "Supposed to return at noon for the First Fathers event if they let me back in."

Hawk posted other insights from his Washington visit on his Twitter page, telling fans about eating Frosted Flakes cereal inside the gates of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. In another tweet, he says "back at White House, Tweeting live from the Diplomatic Room. Unbelievable."

Hawk joined other dads, athletes and celebrities at a Father's Day forum hosted by President Barack Obama. Celebrity chef Bobby Flay helped man the barbecue grills for a White House picnic for the attendees, which included NBA players Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat and Etan Thomas of the Washington Wizards.

"The Prez addressing all of us fathers before we split up to visit DC charities," Hawk tweeted. "D Wade & Etan T make me feel short."
