47. OMG How horrible that these rich celebrities take a child out of utter poverty, famine, etc. How dare they have the gall to make a child's life better. Of course they should be taking children from the United States instead of foreign countries. I mean we all want to be told where and which children we have the right to adopt correct? I can't believe the nerve of these people doing what they think is right instead of doing what everyone thinks they should. I hope other children are spared from this utter horror in the future.

52. If you are rich enough you can buy anyone, even children who aren't orphans. The government sold this child. I would like our government to look into this and return this child to her relatives. Madonna, Children shouldn't be sold as bling or to sooth yourself after a divorce. Give this girl back to the people who love her.

55. How many times did we read that her possible birth father hadn't been able to see her. Don't you think Madonna could afford the air fare. Now he gives his blessing for the adoption, probably after receiving a sizeable check. Remember after David's adoption, the father who couldn't afford to raise him, remarried a younger woman and had another child. ummmm, makes you wonder.

I wish her and Mercy well, but I can't help thinking that she bought this child - for all the money that she spent on lawyers and the appeal - that would have kept many, many children with their families - I believe both Mercy and David have at least one parent and an extended family, but they are too poor to take care of their children. I really don't think rich celebrities should be taking children out of their culture, when a little bit of money would keep the family together. In another 30 years will these children feel that they have been treated well - I don't know and that is the problem - none of use know what the results will be in 20 or 30 years.

58. Hey folks, stop bashing the kids, it's not their fault. I don't think they sat in theirs desks with their hands held high
saying "ouuuu, pick me, pick me." Her adoptees' are infants and toddlers. Heck yes their loves will be enriched. Good for those two. But the money she has spent on Attorney's fees, you know, travel time (probably by private jet), picking up the phone to make a call on your behalf or actually having to sign a letter, alone would have probably feed a small foreign country. The sad part is she didn't even go to pick up her newly purchased package. Hey Madonna, Foster Parent an older child (at your age you will still qualify) Let a child in the US foster care system have a loving home to bring their children home to for holiday's .
