Madonna Has Mercy
Finally -- the first photo of Madonna holding her newly adopted child, Mercy.
Or, more accurately, the first photo of Madonna's hair, part of her shoulder, and Mercy's left hand.

91. Well done Madonna for NOT adopting from the US. US orphans are NOT living in a third world country, filled with aids and a life span of 35. Us orphans have lots of opportunitites and government assistance. Only an Amercian would want Madonna to adopt from the US, but we all know Amercians are selfish, look at the end of the War and how they treated Britian. Go ahead Madonna, NEVER ADOPT A CHILD FROM SUCH A SELFISH COUNTRY, ALWAYS ADOPT FROM COUNTRIES THAT NEED THE HELP

92. its a beautiful thing for people to adopt from all over the world but its a different story when celebrities are accessorizing kids like jewelry or pets, especially if the celebrity is madonna! who is known to be the most accessorizing person on the face of the planet. i cant really take her seriously though i do give her props for her brains in business. overall, she's the biggest poser trying to following in the footsteps of everybody else.

93. Elle and Australian boy, there are thousands of beautiful, deserving children in America who, through no fault of their own, will spend their childhood years languishing in foster care because they are not the cute little white babies that most prospective parents want to adopt....the statistics on what happens to these kids when they are kicked out of foster care at the age of 18 is pretty grim -- the majority of them end up homeless, on drugs, working as prostitutes, or in jail. Yes, the caretakers of these foster kids receive some money each month to provide basic board and care, but what these children REALLY need and long for is a "forever family", someone to call Mom and Dad: PARENTS. As an American, it would have been wonderful if Madonna had adopted from her home country and shown support for this cause -- perhaps she might have inspired other Americans to consider enhancing their own families by adopting from the foster-care system which needs the help desperately. Doesn't mean she's wrong for adopting from another country where the children are in need, but "charity begins at home". My husband and I are foster parents and we are also in the process of adopting 7-year-old twins and hoping to adopt another child or two when that adoption is finalized, so this is a subject that is dear to my heart and one I feel the need to speak up for.

95. For someone supposedly so "old", "slutty", "untalented"...., "irrelevant"...
Her news articles sure seem to still draw the crowds.
Her critics hated her when she portrayed a character in a picture book named 'Dita' who, heaven forbid, had sexual fantasies to explore....
The same now hate on her for her philanthropy and goodwill as she puts her wealth and efforts where most wouldn't even fathom much less make a word for by, basically, adopting an entire ome words action and, basically, adopts an entire impoverished and forgotten AIDS sunken nation to try to renew hope where helplessness and hopelessness have taken roost....
And, why wouldn't/couldn't/shouldn't she adopt any of these Malawan orphans that she's already put ...and still putting... her heart, soul, tears, and sweat into? NATURALLY, she's going to become attached to these children spending so much time there... OF COURSE, she's become emotionally attached to these children and the cause or she wouldn't continue to write the checks or do the time.... SHE IS HUMAN... One would have to harbor one ruthless, emotionless void of a dark heart if you're not somehow moved upon having spent even a few minutes with just one of these children.
As far as adopting from the USA... Ask your governing representation why it takes 5x the time ...and 5x the money.... to adopt a child in the USA than it does to adopt from outside the borders. Or why the child social service and foster system is no better today than it was 20 years ago when my two siblings and I entered into it to only be seperated by and permanently scarred by it... The Lord God only knows.... The Lord God only knows..
