47. A type of mining criticized for allegedly harming the environment. How can you say "allegedly"? Watch a documentary on how they do this and you will see first hand what is happening....entire mountain tops gone......it's disgusting. I applaud Daryl for fighting for a good cause! Keep it up since most Americans could careless.

51. OMG...her face looks horrible! She looks nothing like her "old self". I don't know who her plastic surgeon was, but that person needs to have their ass kicked!

Mountaintop removal is a devastating practice. My mother's family was from the beautiful Appalachian Mountains, but had to relocate thier homestead after the mining companies came in and reeked havoc on the majestic beauty, of the land. Shame on them and anyone who supports them!

First of all i will admit while mining is in progress it looks devistating, but there are strict state and federal regulations about how these areas are mine to how they are reclaimed. Thats right everybody they actually recaim the mining areas to AOC approximate original contour. Areas that are surfaced mined are usually done so because the seams proximity to each other or the surface to the point they could not be safly mined by unground methods. Some seams are much to thin, even previously deep mined. The ability to mine multiple, possiblhy prevoisly unminable seams is what makes it economical. All areas have studdies perfomed to ensure they are not a habitat for any endangered species and to determine if the site has any historical value. I have never seen a surce mine take over 250-300 verticle feet off a mountain, and eventually most is put back. I would like a couple examples of a MTR removing over 800 verticle feet of mountinan. Were are not in the rockies here people 1000 feet woulnt be mountin top removal it would be mountain removal. These area are reseeded with aproved planting plans all varieties of plants and trees.

54% of electricity in this country is generated by coal. There is already a 47% rate increase propoed here in WV by the power utility, just to install carbon capture. Thats before cap and trade is forced through, there could be a very steep increase in the cost of energy in a majior part of this county. All at a time we are loosing jobs already and the economy is in trounble we will further disavantage ourselves as a nation, relying more on forgin oil, at the same time the U.S goverment is allowing the sale of our natural resources to forgin counties. On top of all that, green energy is not ready to even provide for the rate of groth of the energy demanded.

Like the scene in the original Stepford Wives where at the end they finally got to the one who was trying to get away, and she was all fake walking in the aisle, well ALL OF THESE 45ish year old once very pretty actressed JUST DONT SEE how they DO NOT LOOK YOUNGER, WILL NOT PASS FOR A 25 YEAR OLD IN AN AUDITION! Kudos to those (very FEW) actresses that accept the roles as Aunt, Mom, Landlord, Teacher, Granmom, Best Friend, whatever, BUT no~!!!! They all have the Alien Face now and look NOTHING SHORT OF RIDICULOUS! Another one they Got too... when will they learn.???

60. I too am a WV girl, However What she done was just stupid. I get that there are other sources of energy out there, but does anyone else realize that with out coal that our energy bills will TRIPLE???? Not to mention the thousands and thousands of JOBS that coal industries have. Lets put more people on unemployment and make the economy worse.....sounds like a plan to me....Losers, get a life. Coal is a way of life and I support it. I am a coalminers daughter, granddaughter, niece, and cousin....
