65. A comment for Perez: you handled this badly from the start by even placing yourself in this situation. You seek the spotlight. You seek controversy. You seek "dirt" on people. You should not be suprirsed that occasionally (if not literally) this may blow up in your face. Do I defend anyone who chooses violence? No, of course not. But I also cannot defend how you constantly provoke such situations. And one more thing: as the number of people who are upset with how badly you handled this seems to grow exponentially, you might ponder why it's so difficult for you to simply admit making a mistake. (I don't think I've ever seen you do that, btw).

A comment for John Mayer: are you somehow auditioning to be an anchor on Access Hollywood or something of that sort? Why do you have so many public comments about so many topics? Seriously ... twittering with Perez Hilton? Is that supposed to be remotely helpful to him? Is it supposed to be helpful to you?

67. I love you TMZ, but this only shows that you are very selective in what you choose to post. Because if you would have followed the Twitter convo between the two of em, you would have seen that them hating on each other wasn't at all the case!!!!!!!!!! JOHN MAYER was being really cool about everything and he just said that Perez should have kept his cool, which Perez in his turn agreed on. In the end JOHN MAYER ended his tweets with #perezisokbyme - so PEREZ AND JOHN ARE COOL. And everybody making judgments only by reading this TMZ post: ya'll are pretty damn sad.

74. Uh, people reading the summary of this story should READ AND UNDERSTAND ALL POINTS OF VIEW AND THE WHOLE STORY BEFORE COMMENTING...plus if you support this "hatefully" man named Perez, well, its ashame to what society has come. I do hope karma does hit him bad.

I was not a citizen of this country, I was naturallized. So having the freedom of speech was a blessing, but am sick to see fellow-Americans who abuse, and complain that their life is so bad that they have to MOCK and start hate among others...Instead of making silly news...make room for people whos cries for FREE SPEECH CAUSE THEM THEIR LIVES!

I'm so sick of morons ranting about "free speech". Where did you guys all learn about the Constitution? In Clown College? Free speech was meant to protect unpopular and controversial political IDEAS and VIEWPOINTS. There is no "idea" or viewpoint in calling someone a b*tch or drawing penises all over their pictures or encouraging people to hate and mock them. Stop making a MOCKERY of what true free speech was MEANT to protect by invoking it whenever you feel like it!
