Travolta Treks to S. Africa for Jett

Now we know where John Travolta was when his new movie "The Taking of Pelham 123" was in junket mode -- in South Africa, honoring his late son, Jett.

Travolta rented out the entire Eagles Crag Lodge on the Shamwari Game Reserve earlier this month for his family and close friends, according to hotel staff.

John and his family often traveled there on safari -- something his son truly loved. Someone from the staff said John made it clear he was there to honor Jett.

19. Bamajama your comments are wonderful and refreshing to hear. So what that he stated his son was Autistic. It was said before that is why Jett was on medication that obviously didn't help him. And what difference what disability the poor child had or didn't, he is dead and you assholes that make your stupid nasty comments are ignorant jerks. 21. I've been to Shimwari, it's really nice and isolated I could see how it would be a good place to pay a final respect. I'd hate to think how much it must be costing them to hire it all out. We could only afford two nights there.

22. John needs grief counseling. It is so sad and heartbreaking to lose a child. He needs help in healing. He has another child and a wife. He cannot seem to focus on his LIVING family members anymore. He needs professional help. I pray he gets the help soon. He is a loving, caring man and counseling would benefit him and his family.

The Travolta's were following their training in their religion when they withheld necessary medications to keep their son alive. If they are still following their so called religion, then they are comforted by the outcome. Simply put- a faulty meat body was dropped. Now Jett has a chance for a much more productive and satisfying life in a high tone vehicle.
Don't cry for them, they're all good. The African trip is probably a celebration of new and much better meat.

25. TO #24. John Travolta was almost done making Pelham when his son died. He even made comments last week, thanking the producers and his co-stars for granting him the time to continue dealing with this loss as they did not request him to promote the movie. Get your facts straight. These people have lost their son. They can grieve as they wish......

28. I know it is a terrible thing to lose a child, or any loved one for that matter. I wonder if the Travoltas are feeling guilty because they didn't have Jett on medication for his condition(s)? Did they let Scientology dictate their lack of treatment for him? Excuse me, but they knew he was having seizures, and no telling what else. How long did they expect him to live without medication??? I would hate to be in their shoes now. John obviously feels extremely guilty.
