The Republican Governor of South Carolina just confirmed everyone's suspicions -- he went missing for five days because he was not-so-secretly cheating on his wife.

Gov. Mark Sanford just admitted to jetting over to Argentina to hook up with a woman who was not his wife -- and said the affair started about a year ago.

He asked for forgiveness from pretty much everyone, including his wife and 4 kids. He's resigned as chairman of the Republican Governors Association but did not resign as Governor of South Carolina.

25. I saw this coming when he went "missing" on Father's Day weekend and his wife was pretty non-chalant about his whereabouts.
Just another right-wing "family values" Bible thumping hypocrite - not too surprised - seems they are coming out of the wood work these days.
PS - did he say it was a woman? I didn't hear that part - just "person" and "friend." Maybe he was with a man??

28. TMZ -- request his email records from the state - they are public record. also ask for his govt issued phone records --
i would love to see his email thread to her..

and i'm guessing he used public time and public material to talk/email 'her' -- and i'm not sure it is a 'her' -- maybe at one time 'she' was !!

29. This is what I have read so far:
1)Have been seeing this women for 8 years.
2)It became sexual a year ago. (yeah right)
3) Wife and family knew for five months.

I already don't have faith in marriage...and after all that has gone on I'm just going to be single and enjoy having a bunch of partners...lol.
