16. Tell me exactly how Billy Bob is in any way responsible for his grown, adult daughter murdering a small child by beating its body and smashing its skull? A lot of people come from broken marriages and homes, but to implicate Billy Bob and claim that he is responsible or should feel any guilt because his daughter is a cold blooded child murderer, is beyond any reason at all.

17. Her husband was at work and had just come home so it would be highly unlikely she's covering up for HIM. It was more than likely an accident. Those with children know how quick a toddler can climb AND fall.

23. Personally I think this all was a horrible accident. I know how east things like this can happen, she probably had no idea she was injured that badly. Yes, she should have made sure the little girl didn't get sleepy and should have been watching for signs or further injury but I don't think she did it on purpose. The fact that she is BBT's daughter should have nothing to do with the case but it does. They're throwing the book at her because of all the other cases of child abuse. It's always the same, the people who actually deserve to go to prison forever get a light sentence and the ones who deserve a second chance don't get it.

25. Falling from a crib will not kill a baby. I have kids, mine have fallen off of couches, chairs, and his crib and the only thing he got was a bruise. I really don't think just one fall would kill a baby. I hear all the time about people who get mad at the baby and hit it until he/she dies. Do you think it's possible that happened in this case? And even if she did cover for someone, she would still be as responsible as the person she is covering for. Autopsy reports speak louder than someone's story about what happened.

26. so because my "dad" left me that means its his fault if i go out and commit crimes that is the dumbest thing i have ever heard what the hell ever happened to individuality you are responsible for your own actions yea the guy may be a piece of **** but it is not his fault his daughter is more of a wack job than him everyone leads their own lives.

27. Personally, I woudn't have called 911 either... I mean seriously kids fall all the time. All this does is show me that I dont want kids because if you do the right thing and call after you realize something is wrong you will still get blamed and that I can't even help a friend out and babysit because if something happends I will be accused of murder? Funny.. how you can get charged with Murder for a clear accident but my father who beat the crap out of my brothers and I (broken bones, stiches, black eyes etc..) doesn't even lose his kids! We had to run away! That's intentional abuse people! Not a baby falling and even being able to eat and is awake and alert then dying. She did what any of us would have done! But hey I guess if your have a loser like thorton as a father who doens't even claim to be one, you'll end up in the paper and her on TMZ! What its this girls fault for having a loser dad! He needs to help her with attorney fees! Mental note: don't ever help a friend out with their kids....(even when their own family wont) Because this is the thanks you'll get. I bet this baby's family just wants the fame or is hoping Billy Bob will pay up!
