Corey Feldman -- Jackson Was My 'Idol'

Corey Feldman -- who was friends with Michael Jackson when he was a child -- just released the following statement on his website.

Michael Jackson & Corey Feldman
"I come to you today with great sadness, acknowledging the loss of the greatest entertainer in the history of mankind. For me he was more than that, he was my idol, he was a role model, he was someone to cry to when my childhood was unbearable, he was a brother, he was a dear friend."

"Unfortunately Michael and I had a falling out on Septenmber 10th 2001 and that broken friendship had never been repaired. I have stayed close with his family through the years. As a matter of fact my wife and I attended LaToyas birthday thrown by Janet 3 weeks ago on Susie's actual birthday. Michael was supposed to be there and we were supposed to try and talk things out. Michael didn't show because he was stuck in rehearsals for his upcoming tour.

I am trembling and shaking at the moment and it is very hard to type. I am filled with tremendous sadness and remorse. All I choose to remember from this point is the good times we shared and what an inspiration he was to me and the rest of the world. Nobody will ever be able to do what Michael Jackson has done in this industry, and he was so close to doing it all again. I am truly, and deeply sorry for all of the heartbroken fans and supporters worldwide. I think I am still in shock. So I must end this now.

As far as our concert on Saturday at Universal goes. I will not cancel this show it is a very positive first step in implementing a better standard for the touring world and music industry. As Michael taught me a long time ago......the show must go on. It will be a hard one to get through. But I will brave it and do the only thing I know how to do.........perform
."

47. Kinda odd that Corey can give an exact date to his "fallout" w MJ. Sept. 10 2001 was the day of MJ's madsion square garden 30th anniversary concert. Also in the midst of his then current molestation suit, inappropriate time for this discussion I know, but Corey started it.

48. For all you saying he shouldnt be judged for anything he did....Im sure you wouldnt feel that way if it were your child that got raped by that freak. Its easy to preach when your not the victim but NO sane grown man sleeps alone in bed with little boys and if they did and were accused but truly innocent they would never do it again.....He did it for years until his trial then he moved to a country that allows him to rape legally and hide his money. Shame on you star struck idolizers that think molestation is OK as long as it doesnt happen to your family!

49. I knew Corey Feldman was going to do something lame like this. People are born lame so it's hopeless for Corey. God Bless Michael Jackson.

51. This is to all the asswipes who keep saying Michael Jackson is a pedophile. If he molested your child and you found out about it would you accept a money payment and drop all the charges? Or would you have murdered Michael or at least saw to it that he was convicted an sent to jail? This is what the first parents did, took the money and ran!! The second family was seen as money grubbing welfare wipes looking for cash and they didn't win in court!
So If your getting hard over the fact that these scum parents took money instead of seeing the case in court, your just as sick as the parents who took money over a court case. The last family's mother was a liar and so was her son. This is why they lost. You sick asswipes get a life. Your child comes first, not money stupid wipes!

52. I see so many comments on here of those who are in their twenties saying they grew up listening to Michael. Maybe so but, I'm in my 40's and I actually grew up listening to Michael. He was from my era. I would watch him on TV when ever they were on as the Jackson Five(5). He's left a tremendous mark. If you look back at when Elvis passed, it's a repeat. Both are called king and rightly so! I feel very sad for his parents as the hardest thing on a parent is to lose a child no matter how old a child may be. Still a child to them. No, I don't believe any of those stories either of molestation. Michael had a heart and loved people more then they gave him credit for. A truly huge loss not just for the music industry but the world - "We Are the World". My prayers and heart to his family and friends. We all love you Michael!!!

53. Disgusting that Corey Feldman took Jackson's death as an opportunity to promote some other loser project he is into and I'm not even a Jackson fan. As far as if Mr. Jackson went up or down at the time of his death, that was long ago decided by Powers much greater than any of us and he is now dealing with those deceicions.

54. Oh, let the presses stop! The entire world has been waiting for a "statement" by that internationally mocked never-was wannabe loser, COREY FELDMAN! Now the cameras can slip awayl Mr. Feldman should be ashamed for being so opportunistic as to use this tragedy to get his stupid talentless face out there. Not only does he lack talent, but he can't even spell C-L-A-S-S. Go away, Corey, no one cares.

Go back in your cave...

56. The man just DIED people. Do any of you not understand the meaning of INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY? Do any of you not understand that Michael was EXONERATED of ALL CHARGES? Jesus! Give his family some respect already! They have been through so much in their lifetime, and now lost a son and all you guys can do is talk about pedophiles and molestation! Give it a rest!

To the Jackson family - my heart goes out to all of you. A new shining star will be dancing thru the heavens tonight. Not gone, never forgotten, just above us instead of with us for now.

Blessings and Prayers to you all.

57. I'm really sick and tired of you people calling Michael a child molester. As far as I'm concerned, your what brought Michael to his demise. He was proven innocent you asses. That means they found nothing that would link him to these charges. So what your saying is you would rather believe a low life family on welfare, who tried to embezzle money from Jay Leno and George Lopez also, instead of believing that Michael could be innocent. You obviously believe everything you read in the tabloids. As far as I'm concerned, you are whats wrong with society. The woman simply saw a way to never work again and brainwashed her kid into saying that stuff. I'm glad Michael was vindicated of all charges before he died. Now hes in heaven singing for the Lord with his beautiful one of a kind voice...Also Michael was not a Muslim. Jermaine is...

58. It amazes me that Corey was able to take a statement about a man's passing and use it to name drop and make it all about HIMSELF rather than Michael Jackson. I guess that just goes to show what kind of person Corey is, doesn't it?

59. Wow...what was God thinking? He takes Michael Jackson and leaves us an asswipe like Corey Feldman. I'd like to go to his little gig and give him a swift kick in the ass.
