Corey Feldman -- Jackson Was My 'Idol'

Corey Feldman -- who was friends with Michael Jackson when he was a child -- just released the following statement on his website.

Michael Jackson & Corey Feldman
"I come to you today with great sadness, acknowledging the loss of the greatest entertainer in the history of mankind. For me he was more than that, he was my idol, he was a role model, he was someone to cry to when my childhood was unbearable, he was a brother, he was a dear friend."

"Unfortunately Michael and I had a falling out on Septenmber 10th 2001 and that broken friendship had never been repaired. I have stayed close with his family through the years. As a matter of fact my wife and I attended LaToyas birthday thrown by Janet 3 weeks ago on Susie's actual birthday. Michael was supposed to be there and we were supposed to try and talk things out. Michael didn't show because he was stuck in rehearsals for his upcoming tour.

I am trembling and shaking at the moment and it is very hard to type. I am filled with tremendous sadness and remorse. All I choose to remember from this point is the good times we shared and what an inspiration he was to me and the rest of the world. Nobody will ever be able to do what Michael Jackson has done in this industry, and he was so close to doing it all again. I am truly, and deeply sorry for all of the heartbroken fans and supporters worldwide. I think I am still in shock. So I must end this now.

As far as our concert on Saturday at Universal goes. I will not cancel this show it is a very positive first step in implementing a better standard for the touring world and music industry. As Michael taught me a long time ago......the show must go on. It will be a hard one to get through. But I will brave it and do the only thing I know how to do.........perform
."

61. No matter how many times it's flashed on TV and the 'net, I still can't process that Michael is dead. For those of you who call him a child molester: the only reason you do is because your minds are always filled with filth. Unless you were there, you don't know s--t. Anyone can make accusations, especially where money is involved. Shame on you for being so gullible!
My heart goes out to the Jackson family, especially his mom and his children.

63. I cannot believe all of you people bad mouthing Michael!!! None of you were there so you don't really know what happened!!! I don't believe he hurt any of those kids, their parents were just money hungry!!! He is/was all about helping kids and people, He loved people. You could hear it in his voice when he talked about his own kids, he didn't go out and hire someone else to raise his kids for him, he was a true dad to his kids more than some men out there. And just because he was different he got put down and made fun of and none of you have any right to say anything bad about him!!! You know what the tabloids want you to know and you go with it and that is wrong. He is with the only one that can judge him now and shame on all of you who think you are worthy of judging him or anyone else for that matter!! I and I'm sure several others will be praying for you!!! My heart, thoughts, and prayers go out to the Jackson family, may God be with you and his children in this time of need!!!
He is a true musical genius and will be greatly missed!!!! Without him our music would not be what it is today. I have a record my dad gave me when I was little that my dad had when he was little from the Jackson 5. I have always loved Michael Jackson and he will live on through his music, family and fans!!!! RIP MJ!!!! You will be missed!!!

65. You know for all of the people who like to go on blogs and make fun of people who have died, I just hope that one day when you are dead and gone.....and that will be one day.......that you don't have someone laughing and joking about you being in the ground. I can't understand how some people can be so cruel and laugh at a time when a family, friends, and so many fans are truly mourning. You really need to be careful what you say, because you never know what will happend when you gone from this earth also!

67. Corey Feldman is such a lame as bitch! First of all he claims in this statement that Michael was his "Idol' but years ago he was one of the main people who contributed to his ill state in claiming that he touched him as a kid. First of all, I don't believe him and when he tried to come up with this sad attempt to try to get "famous" again and no one cared or even paid attention to him, he just disappeared and thought this was going to be his way of getting back into the limelight. So now, he tries to come back out and make this statement like he cared about him so much, but most victims would simply have nothing to say. He is a loser and should just go crawl up in his little hole and shut the hell up!

68. Okay first off, I'm sure that at SOME point during most of these pathetic people's lives, they TOO listened to Michael Jackson's music. But because his trial was on live TV and these people are now trying to be FOLLOWERS, they put him down. How do ANY of you know that he actually molested all those children, or the "Childhood Stars" that had claimed he did? You DON'T know, so why don't you find something else to talk about...ya know...something in the present perhaps? Michael was MORE than an inspiration to MANY MANY MANY people, and for ANY of you to sit and talk horribly about a person who has just passed away is more morbid than anything else I can think of. Regardless of what he DID or DIDN'T do, he was an EXTREMELY oustanding, talented musician/artist. I am deeply saddened by his passing and as many people have put it: Only GOD can judge him, and He will punish those who deserve to be punished. My thoughts and prayers are with his family in their time of need. Shame on all of you for having such ugly hearts and sickened minds.

71. As I sit here and read these comments about Michael Jackson I am astonished at all of the low budget people that have a comment to say..... When someone dies it is not the time to attack them, he went on trail and was proven innocent by 12 people JUST LIKE YOU!!!!! Has no one ever taught any of you if you have NOTHING NICE TO SAY THAN SAY NOTHING AT ALL..... For all of you that have nothing nice to say you must really be miserable soles with no compassion. MICHAEL JACKSON WAS AMAZING AND NOTHING YOU SAY WILL CHANGE THE GREAT PERSON THAT WE WAS.... I hope that one day you (negative people) are judged unfairly by people..... Then maybe you would understand why Michael Jackson was aloof and withdrawn from the public.... As far as Corey using this as a plug I DON'T BELIEVE THAT EITHER... I have never met him however he seems like a genuine person and THE SHOW DOES GO ON.... I hope that Corey rocks the house on Friday at 7pm at The Amphitheater @ Universal..... Maybe he can channel some of Michael's energy....

73. Bonjour,
Merci.

74. Wasn't this a-hole the first in line to condemn Michael in the 2003-2004 molestation trial. Didn't he say that Michael had molested him? Why am I the only one who remembers that? It's amazing what people will do to get in the news nowadays, but Coery Feldman I will never forgive you for this.
