Hurricane Hits Louisiana Capitol

Why not let Hurricane Chris rap about Halle Berry inside the Louisiana House of Representatives -- it's not like they have anything more important to be doing there, right?

The rapper, a.k.a. Chris Dooley, Jr., was recently honored by his home state. But instead of giving him a key to the city or some random certificate of congratulations, they gave him the House floor -- and he brought his beats.

47. Are you kidding me!?!?! Ya Lauisiana that is the way to make the rest of the country think we are so smart. He should have been wearing his pants around his knees that would have made it better.Said to say right now but from Lafayette LA. I think we need to rethink our votes next time people!!!

48. I'm embarassed to say the least, but these types of idiocies happen across the globe. As for #22, jlove....don't judge LA...I'm secondarily educated, can buy and sell your ass, and can skin a deer and run a trout line!!!

49. WOW! That was great. That was the best performance I'v seen in a long time. No wonder why he is being honored instead of our soilders. Way to go Loui, and keep paying your taxes it's going towards great things for your state.

50. ok this is to JLOVE? lol, Look that's lovely you travel but clearly you have little money if you only traveled to the ''ghetto'' areas LOL, I live in Baton Rouge, this is by far NOT GHETTO, tyvm, also I travel, HELL, even BAHAMAS has '' ghetto'' areas, doesn't mean anything. You trash a whole state bc of one idiot? LOL, but if you look at all serial killers they reside in middle am? So let's lable them huh? I mean the people ''STERIOTYPING BLACKS, and OR Louisiana'', are the same '' trash'' they speak of, as if they are better. You talk about Katrina, while it is true ALOT Of people whined and complained bc they had no money, blah blah blah, that was a poor area, New Olreans has better parts, but the CAP of LA, is Baton Rouge and sadly enough you OBVIOUSLY didn't come this way, maybe you should stay in better HOTELS, before you travel, you know,do some research, it's apparent you have a computer with nothing else better to do, so please sit down, do some research haha

22. This is for Ash the "Great".....I have travelled all over, including Louisiana. It is a beautiful state, but it is also poor and ghetto which ruins it. This person speaking in the video is exactly like the type of people I came in contact with there. Uneducated and try to "conversate" (haha this is my favorite word black people use and think it's real, shows how ignorant they really are). I will never return because there are better places out there I can go to without fear of getting mugged by some guy whose house blew away in a storm that he cannot afford to fix.

52. oh and Joe, the nation did some '' save their butts'', so you also need to learn some history, ALTHOUGH for many beggers, it clearly wasn't enough. Ofcourse there is tons of people who complained after the fact, but every STATE has people who want more than a hand out, and for you to applaud people not helping others due to a hurricane is trashy, '' let's sit on the computer and make fun of people who lost their LIVES, children, old, etc...' dumba*s

31. And folks from Louisiana were mad when the rest of the nation didn't come to save their butts from the hurricane?????

Can you NOW see why??????

53. o hey this is for the '' real deal'' aka worthless, for your info, UM ATLANTA, HOUSTON AND ST.LOUIS , WERE all GHETTO before Katrina even came into the picture honey. I been there, I know. Um and I have never met or heard of people leaving all the way from new orleans LA, to go ALL THE WAY UP THERE.

25. I wish Katrina had of wiped the whole state off the map - including it's residents which would have prevent this kind of crap from being allowed and would have prevented all of the ghetto thug criminals from invading other cities like Atlanta, Houston, Dallas and St Louis.

55. and wtf are they doing honoring him anyways? I don't get that.

Posted at 3:46PM on Jun 25th 2009 by Ash The Great

56. Lets honor some of the youth that are out there volunterring to make their communities better. Those doing well in school, or how about those who are excelling in playing an instrument. Why is all these idiots who change their names for street credibilty or what have you. It seems to easy not matter what race to honor the sports star or the rapper/singer. Lets honor the kids who silently make a differnce.

57. they get paid $174,000 a year of tax money to fool around.
I can't believe they picked this guy over Brad Pitt who has brought so much attention and $$ to L.A.

59. Ash - you need to get your fact straight or do some research. You will find that in most cities that offered assistance to NOLA residents after hurricane Katrina, those people stayed and reformed the gangs and criminal enterprises in their NEW cities. Atlanta, Houston, Dallas and St Louis all have seen a huge spike in crime since the NOLA residents arrived and documented statistics support that violent crimes increased a minimum of 37 perccent in each city and that arrest of NOLA or LA residents made up 43.5 percent of all arrest over a 36 month period. You are apparently just a child and have no educational background or lack the ability to process facts.

Plus - I personally spend 6 months in NOLA after Katrina helping the community recover and saw residents just standing in their yards in trash waiting on someone else to come and pick it up for them. They have no sense of personal pride or resonsibility. NOLA has the most ungrateful, lazy, un-educated, and worthless population of any city I have ever visited, and I have traveled extensively all over this country and Canada.
