Hurricane Hits Louisiana Capitol

Why not let Hurricane Chris rap about Halle Berry inside the Louisiana House of Representatives -- it's not like they have anything more important to be doing there, right?

The rapper, a.k.a. Chris Dooley, Jr., was recently honored by his home state. But instead of giving him a key to the city or some random certificate of congratulations, they gave him the House floor -- and he brought his beats.

106. In case you didn't notice, I'm a bit more than slightly retarded.

107. This is an embarassment to true hip hop. Where is the real music?

108. I am from Louisiana. What is awful, is that we are facing the most aggressive budgets cuts to healthcare and higher right now- serious stuff. I think this is ignorant and makes us look ridiculous as a state. Many people here are furious.

109. in reference to comment #83, I consider myself very diverse in my musical tastes and do very much like hip hop, no matter how senseless some of the lyrics can be..... but "take your shoes off and walk through the daisies"? after listening to that song, the last thing I'd want to do is take my shoes off in fear that I'd step on a crack pipe or hypodermic needle . If you want music in that type of setting it should be of a patriotic nature or at least relevant to the state.. Halle Berry this guy's scerry! I'm a rapper! lol.

111. The person who allowed this should be stuck in a room for 5 days with no food and made to listen to that crap played on loop. This state and country is going to crap.

113. One of the many reasons I don't miss Louisiana... This does not belong in the House of Representatives. The popularity of the song doesn't matter. This is the reason people didn't want to rebuild New Orleans, even though many of the people who lost their homes were upstanding citizens. There is a line between pop culture and government. It should stay that way.
