Jacko's Death Grinds the Internet to a Halt

In the moments following Michael Jackson's death -- so many people rushed to the Internet, that it practically stopped the entire WWW in its tracks.

Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, AIM -- just a few of the scores of major web sites bombed by a tidal wave of traffic. Most of the sites still worked, but the epically high traffic numbers caused them all to move at a snail's pace.

The last time the 'net had this kind of traffic -- Obama's inauguration.

16. TMZ killed him.. Their constant harassment drove him over the edge.. oh yeah now theya re sorry and try to act like some reputable news source. Love those pictures of latoya walking in the hospital with zoom in on her wrinkles. Are they saving the comment about her wrinkles till tomorrow?

28. Michael Jackson was the king of pop, theres nothing else to it.
from the young age he started singing, everyone loved his voice. im only 13 and yet i know a fair bit about this man.
He touched everyone with his music & everything else he had.
my prayers go to his family and himself, along with friends and the other imporant people in his life.
rest in peace mj.
you will never be forgotten.
