91. This dude knew well before that tramp even dropped her frog that it was his. He was just hoping his wife would croak before the floodgates opened. I got to hand it to Edwards' wife - she has stayed alive - out of sheer force of will - just to make him suffer for this. Sheer vindiction.

Sorry, but the United States was founded on principles such as life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Not on we control your life, you have no liberty and you must take care of the lazy. I seriously doubt you would be ok with paying 60% taxes on your annual income to take care of lazy people you don't even know. I seriously doubt you'd be ok with being told you'd have to wait for a medical procedure for over a year, while here in the States you could have it taken care of in a matter of weeks. Socialism is only the next step to Communism. Any "success" you can point to Norway is attributed to one fact and one fact only, they actually DRILL for their OWN oil. While we're not even being allowed to drill for our own oil here, because hypocrites like you would scream "what about the environment!?!?! So for that, I will give Norway credit, but it kills your argument because I know good and well a liberal like you opposes such measures. Also, Norway is VERY strict on their immigration and who they allow in. If they had even a fraction of the illegal problem that the United States has, their entire economic and healthcare system would implode dramatically.
Socailism can work in a VERY constrained setting with a limited population. Beyond this setting socialism will always fail because those who provide the services will be far removed from those who recieve. Corruption and abuse will destroy the system, which it has time and time again.
But I like how you avoided listing the dozens upon dozens of other nations that have experimented with Socialism and failed miserably for it.

101. It just escapes me how insensitve people are regarding other peoples feelings. How hurtful it must be for Elizabeth to hear that her husband was planning a wedding after her death. You couldn't pay me enough money to disclose such hurtful information. Shame on the person writing this book. Shame on John Edwards for putting his family through this terrible situation. We all know that Elizabeth would have kicked John to the curb if she were not terminally ill with two young children. I hope and pray that Elizabeth knows that decent people are concerned for her and her health, not this garbage.
