Justin Timberlake -- 'We Have Lost a Genius'

We just heard from Justin Timberlake, who tells us:

Justin Timberlake
I can't find the words right now to express how deeply sadden [sic] I am by Michael's passing. We have lost a genius and a true ambassador of not only Pop music, but of all music. He has been an inspiration to multiple generations and I will always cherish the moments I shared with him on stage and all of the things I learned about music from him and the time we spent together. My heart goes out to his family and loved ones.

Timberlake has referred to Michael Jackson as his Idol in the past.

16. Some of you people have "major" issues and need psychological help. The man died for heaven sake, yes he was a genius and yes he was an ICON. Have you read the first court case, it was all about money. It went from being a simple he looked at my privates and escalated a year later to other types of charges. Read the book Jeopardy in the Court Room - the father tarnished the child's memory for what $22,000,000 - not a bad win fall for being friends with a pop star. And the other case, did you watch the biography on television? Probably not!! There was nothing wrong with watching T.V. with kids. Do you think the world would let him have three children if they were at risk? God bless Michael Jackson, I apologize from the bottom of my heart for the way the world treated you!!!! People of the world lack empathy, sympathy and are sick. I also come from abuse, you're are not the villian, you were the victim!!! Even so, you endured pain and suffering, but somehow survived it all. God bless your family, your legacy and the beautiful children you've left behind.

18. Fact is, his music and performances were second to none. His personal life was a mess. Partly brought on by child abuse by his father and michaels reluctance to seek help to try and get better.

19. For those of us too young to remember the loss of Richie Valens, the Big Bopper, and Buddy Holly, this day will forever become the day the music died for us.

22. Mighty Mad, sticks and stones may break my bones, but at least I can spell. By the way, he was never declared "innocence" to quote your word. It's called not guilt. Big difference. Anyway, I will pray that you get over your madness and come to your senses, and that karma doesn't bite your ass, too.

Sure you can spell, you "not guilt" you (ahem). And being declared innocent (see, I can spell too!) or guilty, that's the same damn thing! There's no big difference, dummy!
A jury of your peers had evidences put forth to evaluate Jackson's culpability over charges of child molestation. And after looking over them, they decided - not you, not me, THEY - that those charges didn't hold up, so they let his ass go free... The End. That's it for this story. 'Got a problem with it? Then stop wasting your time on TMZ, become a lawyer and go change the justice system.
Now my actual point - and I do hate to repeat myself here: WHAT THAT HAVE TO DO KARMA AGAIN, I don't know! I think we can all agree that Jackson's death has way more to do with him being, I don't know, ALIVE, and therefore buying time until that ultimate day that WE'LL HAVE TO FACE where we'll pass away. Something tells me, Dirty Diana, that you've watch way too much episodes of "My Name is Earl" and even start believing that crap. Well, if Karma was for real, NBC wouldn't have cancelled that show, woudln' they?!
Get a grip honey - I may be mad, but you're a completely bonkers.

23. All he ever did was love kids. He was a good man, and an incredible talent. NOBODY will ever replace Michael Jackson. All you people who are accusing him of things you know NOTHING about...you better BELIEVE he moonwalked right into Heaven! RIP Mr. Jackson, you will be missed.

24. Hey #18

Your absolutely right!! Every celebrity is now talking about him as if they knew him so well. I do think Justin Timberlake did idolize him and was influenced by him, he has mentioned it before. But the twittering from some of these celebrities, is ridiculous, everyone is trying to get some media coverage. Let the family mourn and send your respects to the loved ones. Not twittering to the public and sending out statements. If these celebrities really want to Show how much they admired Michael Jackson then send money to any of Michael Jackson's charities!

26. Watch the Martin Bashir interview - Jackson thought that having non related kids sleep with him in his bed was ok.

Oh and how become a father quickly - just buy the kids and payoff the moms
