Justin Timberlake -- 'We Have Lost a Genius'

We just heard from Justin Timberlake, who tells us:

Justin Timberlake
I can't find the words right now to express how deeply sadden [sic] I am by Michael's passing. We have lost a genius and a true ambassador of not only Pop music, but of all music. He has been an inspiration to multiple generations and I will always cherish the moments I shared with him on stage and all of the things I learned about music from him and the time we spent together. My heart goes out to his family and loved ones.

Timberlake has referred to Michael Jackson as his Idol in the past.

61. wow. this is the saddest moment. michael was the best and will always be the best. no one can take his spot in music. but forever and alway he will influence people with his music and always put a smile on your face, and make your body dance,

everyone should just forget the bad crap that happened to him and just remeber all the great things. let the man be in peace. everyone pray for his family for they have lost one great man.

no one will forget you michael. you are always in our hearts.

a fan

62. Jackson is a legend ... Timberlake?, its like comparing Micky Dolnez (monkees) to John Lennon (beatles); Timberlake MAY have a few good songs out there, but you REMEMBER Jacksons songs forever!

I for the live of me can't think of one REAL hit Timberlake had out side that fruity boy-band ...

RIP Michael!

63. As parents I am sure Mr. and Mrs. Joseph jackson did what they felt was best for their kids to become the individuals they are today as with all of us we make mistakes as parents. I ask that we all just take a moment and show some respect allow these individuals to grieve in private. I know that along side myself there are many others who are deeply sadened by the death of this first human being and secondly a great legend. Please just give these people the space they need and ask that God surrounds them with his peace, love and presence.

65. So, another child molester croaked? And it just happened to be Michael Jackson. Now the world is "greiving". Awwwwwww. Not me. I didn't know him personally. I just knew that he was a freak who couldn't keep his hands off kids. (And for ANYONE who thinks he was innocent, well, so was OJ.) My heart and prayers DO go out to his family though. Guess now all the kids will start lining up to lay claim to his estate. Oh well.

67. Justin, I am sorry for this loss in your life. I think in some way, Michael passed his torch on to you. Michael was the King of Pop, and you are the Prince. You have big shoes to fill, and you need to take the chances required to fill those shoes. Be strong, be brave. Do it for Michael.
