Madonna One pop icon remembers another. We've just heard from Madonna on Jackson's death:

"I can't stop crying over the sad news. I have always admired Michael Jackson. The world has lost one of the greats, but his music will live on forever!

My heart goes out to his three children and other members of his family. God bless."

22. #7-I would agree that they rode the same wave-but they continued to be controversial in negative ways and turned off the public-seems no one has staying power anymore!

23. Hate to say it but, you know MJ was such an inspiration musically to most r&b artists and Chris Brown loved him. I think they should ask Chris Brown to perform for the BET awards as a tribute to MJ. No one better than one of his biggest fans! What do yall think?

25. Today, we lost the last of the BEST. There are no entertainers alive. There's no blue eyes, no Elvis, no Sammy, no Bob Hope, and today, there is no Michael Jackson. All the GREAT entertainers are gone! Today is a very sad day for the world, today and many days going forward. For those of you out there around 35 years of age and younger, I'm sorry that you did not have the opportunity to experience the entertainers us older ones experienced. And today, we lost the best of the best. Michael Jackson was brillant. I am in shock and will miss him dearly! Michael, your light will never dim.
