Van Halen Heartbroken Over Jackson

He provided the rock guitar solo in Jackson's hit song "Beat It." TMZ has just heard from Eddie Van Halen on Michael Jackson's death:

"I am really shocked; as I'm sure the world is, to hear the news. I had the pleasure of working with Michael on 'Beat It' back in '83 -- one of my fondest memories in my career.

Michael will be missed and may he rest in peace."

21.
Van Halen is a lot worse than Michael Jackson. And he and his ex wife Valerie had been on drugs in the past. Valerie is so of her weight and I wish she will go away. Valerie is the real problem.

30. to 'who cares' --The reason people care and are coming out with their comments is because if you were born around the early 60's, we grew up with Michael. He WAS truly a unique and mega talented entertainer and singer. Obviously, he had severe and complex psychological problems which manifested itself in some very ugly outcomes. But, you have to open your mind and realize just because you read a few articles about the dark side of Michael, that he had an enormous impact on pop culture and set the bar for entertainment to a whole new level that many of us born around the 60s had never seen before. With this enormous fame came a severe price he paid in not being able to live even close to a normal life. If he was guilty of the child molestation charges brough against him, there is no excuse. The guy had no childhood that anyone could compare to normal, and his eccentricities that developed later in his life were a result of his unquestionable talent and popularity in pop culture. Read the statistics about his fame, and you will see calling him a pathetic loser with no talent is not an accurate statement. Walk a mile in his shoes, and let's see how you would emerge with the price he paid for his fame. Human beings are vulnerable and have responses to abnormal conditions that aren't always positive. May he rest in peace, and prayers to family and friends, especially his children.
