Emergency Workers Felt Jackson Dead at Scene

Michael Jackson Dead at the sceneWhen EMTs arrived at Michael Jackson's home yesterday, the medics wanted to pronounce him dead on the scene -- but Michael's personal doctor refused to let them "call it" -- this according to sources close to the situation.

When EMTs arrived there was evidence someone had been performing CPR on Michael for "quite some time." There was evidence of Lidocaine -- an old-school drug that can be used to treat disturbances in the heart's rhythm. Medics took over performing CPR but determined Jackson was lifeless -- and wanted to call the coroner to pick up the body.

We're told Jackson was flat-lined when EMTs arrived.

But our sources say M.J.'s doc demanded EMTs continue performing CPR anyway, and demanded that they take Michael to the hospital.

Once they arrived at UCLA, we're told Jackson's doc continued to personally administer CPR -- even though it was clear Jackson was already gone.

50. Are we at the beach? I smell something fishy!! Who hasn't tried to cover something up when they were kids... "I didn't break the vase!"... The doctor (and I use the term loosely) was definitely trying to cover his ass! "Oh no, he was still alive! The PARAMEDICS killed him!" I can just hear the doctor saying that.

Anyway, our beloved friend and entertainer is finally at peace. My prayers go out to his children. It is devastating to lose your parent.

51. I am surprised that these MD's who prescibe these MEGA doses of Narcotics don't seem to carry around with them a case of Narcan for situations.

Narcan counteract the effects of drugs.

Dang! These thing can just be prevented.

52. As a former paramedic, I find this statement truthful. This nonsense that he was "in a coma" is just that - nonsense.

Most times CPR is performed for the benefit of the family with no expectations of survival. When I saw them wheeling him into the hospital and no CPR being performed or saline bags being held up - I knew he was dead then.

53. I am not condoning certain aspects of his life. It is a shame MJ never received professional medical intervention he so desperately needed. There are several people who should be ashamed of how they took advantage of him in his weakened state.
