Millions of Michael Jackson fans around the planet mourned his death yesterday -- including those who paid their respects to the King of Pop outside of his first home in Gary, Indiana.

57. The passing of a legend,
Today my legend past away the legend that was always a stable factor in my life. No matter what tragedy occurred in my life he was there, silent but present. In a way I loved him, in a way he felt like family, in a way I will always miss him although we never met. Maybe it is extreme to say I wouldn’t have been the person I am today if he had not been a part of my world. But it honestly feels that way. He was one of my first memories as a child he showed me what dancing was and what life would me be like without music. I did not need a diary for my diary of life was his music. Every song has a special meaning every choreography brought forth a new personal evolution. We never met and that was not a necessity. You were who I wanted and needed you to be. You were my guide through live when I felt alone in the world. Words fail me to describe the sadness of this day.

58. This is such a sad, sad day. One of the world's greaest has moved on and even though we are sad, we should celebrate his life and the time that he was here with us. Being from Gary, IN myself, MJ's music was the first music I listened to and fell in with. I know he will be truly and deeply missed, but now he will be singing with the Angles.
