Jackson's Death -- Demerol OD?

Micheal Jackson DemerolThere are reports ... Michael Jackson may have died after getting a Demerol injection.

The Sun is reporting shortly after the injection, Jackson's breathing got "slower and slower until it stopped."

We cannot confirm this story. We can say, however, that after Jackson was badly burned during the filming of a Pepsi commercial, he became addicted to painkillers and ended up at the Betty Ford Clinic. As for the painkillers, there are reports he was given Demerol.

In addition, during the child molestation trial, cops seized syringes and drugs, including Demerol.

47. Typically, Demerol causes respiratory arrest, but that term is not what is put on a cause of death statement. The cause of death is usually not a physiologic event such as heart or lung stopping. His COD may be something like accidental overdose, Demerol toxicity, etc. That is if the toxicology report is positive of course, which may take up to one month to be completed. Manslaughter (homicide) should be considered if he wasn't taken care of properly. I am sure there will be a huge investigation.

49. I do not mourn for some 50 year old, meglamaniac, pedaphile who happened to be a great performer. I cried for young Neda and her elderly father who tried to hold her as she lay in the street, bleeding to death after being shot by her Government for nothing speaking her mind, fighting for freedom. I don't understand how the American public ignores/couldn't care less what's really going on in the White House and around the world. I mourn for loss of integrity and depth of my fellow Americans, not this dude.

We love you ( M.J. ) for all you gave to us and the world brother, and may our GOD richly Bless you and forgive you in the end times of what some say about you. May the person without SIN cast the first stone, as JESUS would say to all of you,

52. Hey Heather, you don't want to mourn for the guy fine...why don't you go to the website about the SC Governor and his affair or Ensign and his affair... Let everyone have the freedom to express their feelings without attempting to advance your agenda.

53. Michael Jackson (to this day brings a smile to my face and warmth to my heart).I grew up with Michael & the Jackson 5. As a child, I had a small record player, could never decide whether to play ABC (Jackson 5) or Puppy love (Donnie Osmond) LOL. Wore them both out! I also remember (my now 35 year old son doing the moonwalk at a school fair with his RED jacket at 11) 100 on lookers! Great times….happy memories THANK YOU MICHAEL. Still listen to his music today. My heart goes out to his family. This is horrific to say the least. I hope and pray he was not over medicated by another Dr.out of control. We see this type of thing constantly. Unfortunately we have Dr.’s that are legalized drug pusher with no accountability or remorse. Society forgets we depend on the professionals to make the right health decisions for us. We put our lives in their hands. When in severe pain ANYONE and EVERYONE will turn to their Dr. with belief of relief and recovery. God forbid "Americas" Michael Jackson was the victim of one more crazy with a medical license. If so, this man (persons) should be criminally accountable, with our government setting the stage for future incidents such as this.

54. Sicko, Jacko, Wacko, etc. folks can call him whatever they choose. He was human & had problems like each & every one of us do in some way but no matter what nickname is placed on him no one will EVER replace The King of Pop and deny the amazing gifted talent this phenomenonal man possessed. He will NEVER be forgotten just as Elvis hasn't been & won't be. The world of entertainment lost a legendary fixture. I was a teen in the 70's and grew up with his music. Life is full of twists and turns for every single one of us and the last thing on earth we need to do is spend our energy on ramrodding someone else's life. Every one of us will be judged in the end by the only One that matters. Until then how bout we all just leave everyone alone?

55. Does it really matter how he died, the fact stil remains that the world has suffered a great loss. Another fact...somewhere there is a mother and father that woke up this morning without their son, sisters and brothers that woke up without their brother, a person that woke up without their best friend and worst yet 3 children that woke up without their father. Not many of us gave this man peace when he was alive, please let's stop and give him peace now that he has passed. Either you like or you don't and the funny thing about life is no one is perfect, though some of us reach for perfection to include myself more than others. I have never walked a second in Michael Jackson's shoes and none of you bashers have also so back off, give the family their due respect and keep your comments to yourself, because believe it or not somewhere somebody is bashing you as well. R.I.P Michael Jackson, because some of us sure did not let you live in peace.

56. Long time fan. 18 out of my 24 years of life. I had a horrible feeling all afternoon. It came upon suddenly and i had no reason as to why. Then to soon after find out this. It is a tragidy that can not be rectifyed.. I still can't believe it. For him to be gone so soon!!! Yes he is ( i refuse to say was) a living ledgend, but do not forget he was a man, and a FATHER, a brother, a son!!!

There will be haters who will use this opertunity to once more poke " fun" at a man who wanted to harm no one, in fact do the oposite! FOr those people i have no respect and pity thier soul. A human being has died!!!! An idol to so many including myself.

He was the person that even if you didn't know him personally, you were glad to know he was some where, alive and well.

I personally believe that he was putting so much strain on his body to get ready for his 50 comcert tour. At 25 such strain would do damage. And perhaps there was some issues with pain medication. COmplicated by his pain of performing.

I love you Michael and godbless!!!!

If we all cry at the same time tonight!!!!!

57. How or why does everything become a forum for the world's conflicts, starving children, Iranian protests, etc.? The bottom line is that Michael Jackson was as big of a celebrity and entertainer that the world has most likely ever seen. No matter what you think of the guy, his impact was enormous, and the coverage is warranted. Music is plays an huge role in people's lives and many times of their lives are defined by music and that's where the impact is for many people. It's as much about Jackson as it is their own lives.

60. Why do people have to be so cruel? Who cares who he was, he still was a human being with feelings just like the rest of us. N0 one can deny he was a genius in the music industry. His passing is very sad and his children have now lost the ONLY parent they had. If you have no compassion for him, at least think of his family, friends, and collegues. Rest in Peace Michael. If you can't say something positive than you shouldn't say anything at all and let's hope you who criticize him do no wrong in your life.
