108. If the Doctor was present he should have recognised an overdose by the breathing pattern of Michael and administered NARCAN !! That would hve reversed the effects of the Narcotics in Michaels system and brought him back if in fact that was what happened to him. The Doctor administering strong Narcotics to MJ like he was should have been prepared for such a situation. Too Bad ...SLYAZ

109. Enabling People are what killed Michael. Seems hes been knocking on deaths doors for several years But still a shcok.
I think the man was very misunderstood. I cant imagine growing up in a bubble not being able to even got to the store without being mobbed. Poor guy didnt know what normal was He seemed very lonely although he was always surrounded by an entourage of people
I grew up enjoying he music and still do He will be missed Its a shame that he will never know the people who genuinely love him but thats how it usually turns out.

111. I will miss him forever he was a great part of my childhood memories! But look people, his father was soooo wrong for going to the bet awards and plugging his new blue ray ventures. He did not seem to care one bit of his sons death. I believe they are the vultures who used him for there own selfish fame and fortune. They proble helped provide him with the Dr. who gave him drugs!! I hope they don't get his money!!! They are evil parents, very sefish, just used there very talented son to get the family fame and riches!! Check the dad out in his interview last night he is nutts!!

112. Everyone needs to stop blaming the friggin' doctors for the overdose deaths of prescription addicts. MJ went to rehab in the '90's for opiate addiction. Upon coming out of rehab sober, he knew that he could never have these drugs in his system again, at any dose. To start on them again, is asking for death. He knew this and he made the decision to fill a prescription for them anyway, at some point. He decided to resume his use of opiate painkillers. Nobody forced them on him and he clearly knew the risk he was taking. When you tell a dr you are in pain, they are legally not allowed to tell you that you're not. They have to give you something. That law is there to protect people who are genuinely in pain. Opiate addiction is a progressive condition where the addict must take more and more over time in order to get any sort of high or pain relief from them. Not all who take pain meds are addicts but anyone who takes them on a regular basis will have a dependency meaning that if they stop taking them, they will experience physical symptoms of withdrawal. Michael was taking his opiates to get high or to escape psychological pain but that is not the fault of his doctors. Michael knew the risks and took them anyway. That is what addiction is all about. No Dr can force a patient into rehab or make them get clean. It is up to the addict to decide that and want it for themselves. Stop blaming the medical profession for the weaknesses and bad decision making of patients otherwise the people who really need these types of meds to physically be able to function will not be able to get them at the doses they need over time.

113. I almost died with a shot of Demoral in 2006 the doctor gave me after complications from a previous spinal tap. About an hour after I got the shot, (a friend drove me home), I suddenly could not breathe and slowly began to lose consciousness. I even saw "the bright white light" people say you see when you are on verge of dying. It was the most horrible thing I went through and wouldn't wish it on anyone. My friend ran out the car and into KMart and called 911. The ambulance got me within 8 minutes my friend told me (thank God they came quick). I was rushed to emergency - where they gave me doses of Benedryl which is normally used for allergic reactions. When I found out about Michael getting the Demoral shot and reading what he went through...then dying....gosh...it just brought me back to that day when I could have been in his shoes...

114. Until the toxicology report comes back we wont know for sure. But, if it was a Demerol OD - then the Doctor needs to go away for a long, long time. Michael Jackson in no way needed something that strong for pain. I am under pain management and I know these medications very well. Honestly, I dont like going to the hospital with my back so bad they have to give me that or Dilaudid. If you are at that level.. something is drastically wrong. IF, again, IF, it comes back as this, then Michael truly was addicted to Narcotics in a BIG way. He shouldnt have had a doctor around just giving him what he wanted... I'm really afraid this is what happened. He probably said "Give me 100mg of Health tonic because I'm in alot of pain today"... after having eaten some other meds earlier. This is how you die from this stuff.

117. What especially get my feathers in a ruff is that the bigger they are the harder to treat. Staff memeber want to keep their jobs and now it's too late I sish they'd shur the f**k up. One rehab is seldom enough for some addicts to get sober. ANd self hjelp groups may have been too public for shy michael. But where the family memebers were I don't understand.Interventions, anyone? Addiction is a cunning enemy of life and we can get away with it at the start or why would we try it. It helps something and seems to solve a problem. Then IT'S the problem. I hope the Jackson family will invest some of michael's death profits in addiction awareness. Someone walking around stoned and overly medicated demonstartes an awful sort of display of pain. They are still wlking and talkng and will say they are "FINE" Familes tend to believe this. ANd ok, maybe joe Schmoo couldn't get to Michael as another non celebrity addict. But LIza? And with her numerious illness and drug habits yet Elizabeth Taylor could have spoke up, On,y another addict understands another addict and only another addict can help them. ANd maybe crack open a window of awareness. She should have known better at least publicly remaining clean and sober after Betty FOrd.There is no shame in being an addict. The shame is not doing anything about it. ANd paid salary employees should have at least sent messages again and again to his family. ANd screw the publicity. How will they explain to those children one day that they didn't know he had SUCH a problem. Children know. They know their parents better than anyone. ANd adddiction is a family disease--everyone gets to play. and it seems these innocents lost the most. ANd one day they will ask why. God help the people that fueled his addictions from the doctors to the staff at his homes. or worse turned a blind eye to a man killing himself. We are all much diminished by this loss. How much worse after that scandal could it be to come out as a recovering addict? His fans could only loved him more. I grieve for that lost boy/man and for the utter waste of it all.Even Lindsay Lohan got more help from her family and that is one sad comment on our culture.
