I'm a grandmother and I can still remember going to the Hot Wheels skating rink in Shreveport, Louisiana and skating to the Jackson 5 music. It feels like part of my youth has died too.

May you be at peace now & in a better place than the circus you were surrounded by. My thoughts go to your family & children & hope they will find the strength together to come to terms with such a sad loss. 63. I don't believe MJ was an addict. He was given prescribed drugs by a qualified doctor. I have had morphine in the past for major surgery and you are encouraged to stop using it after just a few days, otherwise can be addictive. If MJ had a succession of painkillers within a 24 hour period, then it is likely that the addition of more drugs could have led to an accidental overdose. I'm lucky to be in the UK and recently saw the show Thriller Live in the West End in London. The show will become a lasting tribute to the King of Pop. RIP Michael. You are loved.

67. MJ was alive and famous long before I was even born and i just want to say that I am strongly effected by what has happend. He made great music that i would listen to over all the current music today. Its so sad that he had to live such a tragic life with all of the talent he had.

The song does not say Deborah. It indeed says Demerol. How Ironic. I searched the lyrics to be certain. I was shocked by his death, but if the cause is Drugs, that part is not really shocking. Paula Abdul is probably next, she is always high on something.

Johnny, I thought the same thing when seeing her pic on tmz. They have the same jacked up nose and everything. I guess I had never really looked at her that closely. Not the same person though, she is a little fuller figured then he was. Odd though that they meant to look like that!


Anyways its sad. He was too young, and left behind three children. If it's truely cause by drugs, and all of his family knew as stated, they should have got involved, if for no other reason for the kids sake.

70. Shouldn't be illegal to take prescribed drugs like that? He's been taking those drugs for years and everyone continues to love him and allow him to be a role model for kids. I knew he died from drugs, he's never fooled me.

75. Makes you wonder what happened behind closed doors! How well did he actually look after those children with being an addict? I am sorry that he died, he was a very talented musician, but I think the children are better off now. They don't have to roam around covered up or worry about the health of their father. I can't imagine what kinda life they had with him...always seeing him in bandages, out all hours of the night at bookstores, etc...hopefully now they may be able to lead a somewhat normal life.
