Michael Jackson's Doc -- Closed for Business

Of all the types of Dr's he could have hired I wonder why he chose a cardiologist (or a supposed cardiologist). Seems strange to hire him and have him administer demerol shots. That wouldn't even really be a cardio Dr's field of expertise would it? I worked at a hospital and the Dr's usually stuck to their field and called in other Dr's to consult if it involved another area.

No doubt about it, Dr Conrad Murray is now the most well known graduate in the history of his medical school, Meharry Medical College. I've yet to hear or read any reports as to why Michael Jackson was receiving injectable narcotics. Oral medications, such as Morphine sulfate, are obviously readily available and far safer to use. Skin patches such as Fentanyl (60x the effect of an equal dose of morphine) are also available. Was Jackson so tolerant or resistant to the effects of oral or transdermal pain meds that he needed narcotic injections? Maybe he was using two or more such meds - which is a recipe for causing respiratory arrest, prior to onset of cardiac arrest. As a physician, I generally reserve narcotic injections for patients who have a terminal disease such as cancer who are dealing with severe pain. In non-cancer patients with chronic debilitating pain, other types of drugs, such as some meds that were originally designed for treating seizures or depression often work much more effectively for pain control compared to narcotics. The causes of pain in chronic pain syndromes are usually quite different compared to the causes of pain due to injury or inflammation. In situations where a pain medication such as Demerol is used, it's a simple matter to reverse the effects with another injectable drug, Narcan, unless the patient has specifically requested not to be resuscitated in the event of an overdose, So if Jackson's private doctor did not keep Narcan on hand, he better get a lawyer (apparently it took him less than 24 hours to do so) and maybe a whole office of them. Was this guy even licensed to practice medicine in California?

'the once in a life time opprtunity ' doctor has a lot to answer for. With all the drugs that are going on in Hollywood the 'honourable doc' should be smiling his way to the bank like the plastic surgeons. The fact that he was in debt means he was not executing his professional duties properly- hence the need to be on someone else's payroll and not his own. This smirks of HOMiCIDE,HOMICIDE to me.

WELL HIS DUMB AZZ SUPPOSE TO GIVE HIM CPR ON THE FLOOR WHICH IS A HARD SURFACE....WELL I AM GOING TO TELL YALL WHERE HIS PRACTICE IS AT... WELL IT'S IN ACREAS HOMES, AND IT'S RIGHT OFF OF WEST MONTGOMERY RIGHT NEXT TO ORLANDOS AND ORLANDOS IS RIGHT ACRSS FROM ACREAS HOMES MULTI SERVICE CENTER... THIS MAN LICENSE EXPIRE IN 2011 AND HE REALLY DON'T NEED TO WORRY ABOUT TRYING TO RENEW IT, CAUSE THIS MAN KNOW FOR A FACT THAT HIS LICENSE MIGHT GET SNATCHED FROM HIM.... I JUST WANT JUSTICE TO BE DONE AND I WANT TO SEE HIM IN A JUMP SUIT, AND NOT A COUNTY JUMP SUIT... SEE RIGHT NOW MICHAEL RESTED YET AND HE WANTS JUSTICE TO BE SERVED..... AND TO ME IT DON'T MATTER HOW MANY LAWYERS THIS DOCTOR GET, AND THEY BETTER COME WITH ALL THAT THEY GOT...

What boggles my mind is that Dr Murray claims there was no telelphone in Michael Jackson's room....I find it hard to believe the dear doctor did not have a cell phone in his pocket. A Medical Doctor without a cell phone????? Pretty strange

je suis fan de mj je l aime et l aimerait plus que tout mais le pauvre docteur n a rien fait il faud le laisser en paix au contrair il a etait éfondré de douleur en perdant comme nous tous le petit ange mj.merci docteur d avoir fait tout ce que vous pouviez pour mj. mais lui seul a voulu partir oui loint de ce monde cruel et si fou. mon bebe mj je t aime plus que tout et t aimerai a tout jamais.
