19. "hit his head on the overhead luggage compartment" ...this ties in with the airlines seat belt comment. If he was not wearing one and the plane landed as it supposedly did, then Billy would have rocketed straight up and smacked his head on the overhead luggage compartment.

THEY ARE SO LUCKY THERE WASN'T MORE SERIOUS INJURIES OR FATALITIES. BUT WITH THE PERSONAL CARRY-ONS AND OTHER ITEMS THAT ARE ABOVE EACH PASSANGER. THEY FELL OUT OF THE COMPARTMENTS WHICH SOMETHING HIT MR. MAYS ON THE HEAD. THEY SAID HE COMMENTED THAT HE HAD A HEADACHE! HE COULD HAVE HAD A SUB-DURAL BLEED IN THE BRAIN. I ENJOYED HOW PERSISTED WAYS HE PROMOTED THE PRODUCTS! I SEND MY CONDOLENCES AND RESPECTS TO ALL HIS FAMILY AND LOVED ONES....BILLY MAYS MAY HE REST IN PEACE.

22. I had always thought that Billy Mays looked very familiar. Just a few days ago, I realized that he looked a lot like Bluto in the old Popeye cartoons..... I personally found his voice and delivery a real put-off just like a slick talking used car salesman.

27. IF he had been seated with his seatbelt on, there's no way items that were secured in the overhead compartment would have fallen straight down onto his head. Those compartments don't open directly over the passengers' heads. They open into the aisle. BUT -- if he wasn't wearing his seatbelt and the front tires blew out during the landing, he would have been catapulted straight up like a cork out of a bottle, slamming his head on the overhead compartment ... just as he did.

As someone else said, it's eerily reminiscent of Natasha Richardson's death. The brain getting slammed around inside the skull can be deadly. Billy's death was probably an avoidable tragedy. Wear your seatbelt until the pilot says to take it off. There's a reason for that rule.
