FAA Spokesperson Takes Back Billy Mays Quote

Billy MaysLaura Brown, the FAA spokesperson who gave TMZ this quote about Billy Mays -- "The passenger needs to wear a seat belt during landing and he didn't" -- now says she didn't say it.

She now tells TMZ, "At this point in time, we cannot have any idea who was or wasn't wearing their seat belt on the plane."

Mays was one of the passengers aboard a plane that landed roughly at Tampa International Airport yesterday. He told a local FOX affiliate he was hit on the head by falling items.

91. Death Not Due to head Trauma but heart attack could have been brought on by stress induced by airplane landing.

This according to Dr. Bodin on Fox New, who basically said a terrifying event can cause a pre-existing heart condition to evolve into a serious cardiac infarction which he apparently had.

So I guess the seat belt or luggage is no longer of consequence and we can now blame the pilot for landing too hard and blowing out the tires and scaring Billy to death!
