31. How come he doesn't have the courtesy to express same sympathies to someone outside of his ethnic group such as Farrah who passed on the same day or Ed earlier in week/shouldn't the fact that Americans tried to move past racial barriers and elect an african-american president mean that President SHOULD show same the poise and grace and not use his status as the president to show that reverse racial prejudice is okay.. racism should not be okay.. no matter what your ethnic group.

32. MJ's sudden death is tragic, yes. But, I don't understand why people have elevated him to this worship status. Same thing with Elvis -- they are men with their own lives and blessed us with great music and entertainment. He's been more or less of a sad joke these past many years and now thta he's dead, the hypocrisy has been running rampant. I understand that he is a footprint on American culture but PLEASE, one man's death (and a little bit of Farrah's and Ed's death as well) are overshadowing what's going on NOW in the world. All the grieving in the world won't change that fact that he's gone. His family has their own issues to deal with -- none of the public's biz so why are we concerened? WE can't make a difference in the family life of MJ's kids or family. But, we CAN make a difference in the causes that are happening now that affect thousands or millions of people -- NOW. My dad always told me that the amount of time that you grieve is not a reflection of how much you loved them.

As one person commented earlier on this string "can we move on already?"

33. You know I have a problem with Obama. We have to learn to listen to his first responses because those are his most honest. Now that he has seen even prisoners applauding Michael's impact on the world he is ready to issue a written statement. Remember, it was not important enough at first. It was only until after a reporter asked Robert Gibbs, that he relayed a most condescending message; forgetting that this little black kid paved the way for him to even imagine being where he is today. He does whatever is politically expedient and he knows that he had not stepped up and offered some official statement, he would have lost the support of many blacks ...including the world community. I am not impressed!

35. One stellar President of the United States who is compassionate but balances the scales. It's now about rescuing the children so they can get the professional psychological assistance necessary to become emotionally, psychologically, and mentally strong young adults down the road. The two eldest children are at a critical crossroads in their biological and psychological development right now.

36. Aww, how sweet!!! He doesn't write the family of the slain 23 year old army private murdered in cold blood at his recruiting office in Arkansas by a muslim terrorist, but he finds time to write the Jackson family. What a surprise!!!

39. OBAMA ES UN HOMBRE DE ESTE TIEMPO, ESO QUEDA ABSOLUTAMENTE DEMOSTRADO AL ESTAR FRENTE A LA NOTICIA Y DECLARAR SU ADMIRACIÓN POR UN COMPATRIOTA NEGRO Y DE TAN GRAN ESTATURA COMO MICAHEL. GRACIAS SEÑOR OBAMA, LA COMUNIDAD NEGRA DEBE AGRADECÉRSELO. POR NOMBRAR A OTRO QUE NO ALCANZÓ SEMEJANTE NIVEL PERO ES UN GRANDE; MARVIN GAYE. ADIOS MJ

40. The country is falling apart thanks to his Socialist positions, we're losing thousands of jobs per week, people are starving and losing their homes, the world is on the verge of WWIII, and this prick is going out on fancy dates, vactions, late night comedy shows, sporting events and now singling out which celebrity families to leach his name on to. This clown is a disgrace to the not only the White House, but to every sane U.S. citizen.

41. Hey, at least Michael didn't pretend like he really wanted to be black like the dumbass in office

42. What about the service men and women who have died since he became prez? What about FARRAH? Did he send a letter to her father? If he sends a letter of condolence to one celebrity's family then he needs to send a letter to EVERY celebrity's family not just the BLACK ones! Jacko died because he abused drugs - every one around him knew it - but looked the other way. A druggie who died 500 million dollars in debt - not much to look up to.
At least FARRAH died an honorable death and she desperately wanted to LIVE! Obviously, Jacko did not with all the drugs he was abusing on a daily basis. Guess he wasn't thinking about his kids......

43. So....Obama continues to do everything he can to make this country as weak and dependant on the government as possible, attacking capitalism, using our tax dollars on dates and fancy dinners and parties, allowing terrorist dictators to get as powerful as they wish before attacking us, and decides to reach out to the guy that had a child molester's dream of a compound? What's sad, is that this doesn't surprise me in the least.

44. Just another example of the complete and utter incompetence of this man. Out of the three major celebs that died within in a week of one another, he picks the one that liked to sleep with little boys to show his "sympathies" for.

45. I wuz somewhat surprised & disappointed that Obama hadn't said anything b4 now. I know he grew up with MJ's music; he is definitely in that age demographic.
